How strange - as I begin watching this I think to myself, "Wow, what an accomplishment it must be to have one's music performed live like this. How gratifying". Then I wondered what your thoughts were, in a general sense, about the role of conductors and their capacity to affect the written piece through their personal interpretation of it. I've often wondered about this rarely discussed (in my meager experience) dynamic between composer and conductor.
And then, after listening for a couple minutes, I scroll down and immediately see what you said in the description... ha! You managed to answer a question I had not yet asked 😋
Now, I don't think that "gratifying" would be the best choice in descriptors which might come to one's mind when hearing his music played live by so-called professionals lol.
Another question now comes to mind, but before I ask it, let me offer my condolences for the abuse this work of yours was made to endure. I hope that it manages to recover its dignity one day 😉
So my question is: assuming the score itself was sufficiently annotated, what do you think it was which lead to this composer's interpretation being so far off?.. 🤔
I try my best not to leave any unanswered question on the score, everything is simple, clear and detailed.
They had the score 2 months before the concert, so no matter what! the music should be presented at least 50\50 correct and acceptable, right?
They didn't practice, sight reading something that is totally off of their culture, the time signature is way very strange to anyone who isn't familiar this regional music, some certain rhythmic pattern must be included (respect to tradition and asked by the publisher), they thought that I'll be happy by anything they do maybe because they think that they are so good and maybe professionals!
I was there! I told the conductor the tempo is off, even though it was written on the score and they asked me to send the audio by the way, 2 months before the concert with the score. i told him let the orchestra tune their instruments at least, I even conducted them during the rehearsal, what more can I do?
If you have any ideas please insight me for the future's unpleasant coincidence.
Some of the artists of course apologized the other day, but ......
they neglected and saw it with ease, then they butchered it.

The rehearsal was disappointing!
They didn't practice in Zagreb, underestimated the music! and voila, there you go!
new time signature, new modes, new form and texture, the destroyed it!

En espérant que très bientôt, ta création sera rejouée de façon a rendre justice a ta musique et surtout, combler tes attentes. Pour ma part, après avoir réécouté la maquette et la version orchestrale, humblement, puisque je ne suis ni compositeur ni musicien, je peux tout de même affirmer que ca reste une grande musique, l'œuvre d'un surdoué. Mais je peux comprendre ta déception puisque cette œuvre, tu l'a mise au monde et tu voulais pour elle le meilleur!
Je l'espère aussi, vous pouvez écouter des extraits numériques, cela a rendu la musique plus juste que la performance en direct, merci!

صحيح ان التقديم لم يكن افضل ما يمكن لكن كما قلت في التعليقات ربما كان الموضوع صعب عليهم باعتباره ايقاعاً جديداً بالنسبة لهم
و نرجو لك ان تستمر في التدريب على التأليف لكي لا تبقى عند هذا المستوى الجميل بل الى الافضل عسى ان تطبق ما فعله فكرت اميروف في كتابة الألحان الشرقية للاوركسترا بالسلم الغربي
I'm surprised that the orchestra/conductor disregarded your instructions so much...just a suggestion, though, perhaps don't make your disappointment so public as they are professional musicians and you don't want to jeopardize future collaborations with other ensembles.
