Thanks for the video. I bought one of these a while ago & in great condition. It is a bit hefty for its size, but it feels great in the hand & it takes pretty good photos. One of my favourite cameras.
Nostalgia! We had this camera when I was but a teen. I was the family's designated photographer so I've exposed countless rolls with it and I know the camera inside out. Sadly ours suddenly broke down one day. That notch below the flash was a thoughtful feature to keep fingers off the flash. The deep grip rivals modern cameras. I believe there was a water resistant version of this as well.
Hey! I have this camera, it was my parents, and I have found it in the cupboard but the batteries are spoiled and the outer shutter/curtain on the front of the camera was jammed. I wonder if you know a good place to buy batteries in the UK so I can see if it’s usable? Many thanks! Kate

i also have this camera but when i tried to zoom in/zoom out it didnt show on the viewfinder. perhaps do you know the solution of this? thank you so much!
That's strange. The viewfinder should zoom as well. I have heard of these having viewfinder problems, but it's be cheaper getting another one than trying to get it fixed. To be honest mine was less than the price of the batteries!

It takes CR123 batteries. About £3-4 on ebay or Amazon. Enjoy!

You do need a battery, I'm afraid.

Sure. It has a frame counter and you can tell how many frames are on the film via a window.

It's the black slider switch to the right of the viewfinder. The same one that turns it on.
Do you need to load it with film for the lens to open? I don’t want to load my camera with film and it ends up not working.
Interesting question. You should be able to turn it on and open the lens without a film in the camera.

should the camera take pictures right away after clicking the shutter button? mine at times will just flash the AF button
It like to have a good 'think' about taking the photo before it actually does. It sometimes takes a second or more before committing itself.
