Cinema is my profession, I live in Mexico City. I saw Rome, the director, Alfonso Cuarón is a friend of mine, I like Rome. However, I was very disappointed that Caphernaum did not win the Oscar for best foreign film, a better film. Caphernaum is a master piece! A film that stays with you forever. The acting is incredible, those kids, the story. Same with the price in Cannes, Caphernaum is far superior than Shoplifters. My opinion. I've seen Caramel, I adore, and Maintenant on va ou? Nadine is an excellent auteur, director and actress. Also very pretty.
Sorry to bother you on a Saturday but I like how you always read all the sentences first and out loud, it makes it easier for me to hear how things are pronounced. And what I tried to do which is extremely helpful, is to slow down the speed voice just in case I did not hear you correct the first time. Have a great weekend and keep up the good work!

Capharnaum is one of the best movie I've ever watched. I can watch it for like once every day. And it is what makes me curious about lebanese arabic and brings me here. I learned MSA grammar for years now (but still not fluent yet😂) but when i watch Capharnaum i say "hey, why are not any of their saying is like what i learned? I can't even hear the words clearly. It says it's an arabic movie" So i searched for lebanese arabic, and turns out levantine country has its own accent. And it is a unique and challenging accent to learn. Maybe will be wonderful if you may breakdown the dialogs from the movie Capharnaum for a lesson. I love it so much❤ Greeting from Indonesia, syukron ktiir
Thank you very much Dear Teacher, 🙏, i am from Moscow Russia, love,i am in Love with Arabic language (dont know actually why (real love just happends❣️,) you are so sweet, feels like you are Sister 🤗) When i study arabic i feel like magic in me!! 🙏🙏🙏!!
Just a tip... "neezel" could be a bit like "drop" which is not usted for movies (they come out) but it's used for music or other products like clothes/makeup at least on TH-cam and it also means to go down
Beshikrik men kell albe! You are wonderful, your classes are fantastic, and ente helu ktir, very sweet! However, if you think vowels in Arabic are easy, no they are not... Imshalá hwahed lyoom ana bitalam, bisir musaeda min sama!
Nina Markovic oh I see what you mean. In the masculine form it would be yes neezel. In the feminine form i'd drop it and say neezle and not neezele. Did I answer your question?😊
Globetrot with Arabic 😃 I mean helping vowels ,when some word ends in consonant and there is an another word like bayt kbeer and it’s pronunced bet-e kbeer or not?
can you explain ra7 ontrak? Ra7 sounds like he goes so for me Ro7 ontrak sounds more correct to me. For example how would you say he will wait for you? Thanks!
The difference is that raa7 with a long aa means he went, ra7 with a short a means "will". So he will wait will be ra7 yontor and not raa7 yontor. Hope it helps😊
Coool I think I understand Can you give me one more example with we will wait? Just to get my head around the conjugation of this phrase @@GlobetrotwithArabic

Hi Chaghig and all! So, ظهر (MSA) becomes ضهر in Levantine Arabic (or is it specifically Lebanese?)
Nikos Lountos Yes that's true 😊
If i want to ask someone what he is eating do i ask "chu 3am btekol?" or chu 3am tekol?" Thank you very much
@younes both are 100 percent ok, I personally use more shou 3am bteekol.
شكرا لهالدرس الجميل! ولكن مفهمت لفظ "شاغيك". ما معناه؟ و 'تلقمش' ما هو اصل الكلمة؟
لقمة=a bite of food

Hello ,great lesson!! Can I ask what about Helping vowel in neezel jdid ITS e or i in the middle? Thank u ❤️
Nina Markovic I'm not sure I got your question, but it's not i... its the éé sound.
Globetrot with Arabic I mean it’s pronounced neezele jdeed with the helping vowel e,right? :)
Nina Markovic I see what you mean! fii film nezel-e-jdiid...
Or even without a vowel: fii film nezel-jdid... with a small pause.

Younes Benbida you can say ra7 nontor. For example ra7 nontor l-autocar.
أنا مني
انت منَك
انت منِك
هو منُه
هي منها
نحنا منا
انتو منكن
هن منهن
