Welcome sellers to the Credit Jungle. If you follow the capital markets, you know that we're not joking when we call it the credit jungle. Interest rates have more than doubled in less than 2 years. In my 35 years in the mortgage business, I've never see them rise so fast, and by such a large margin. It has caused a real disruption in the housing market, but relax, you are about to tap into the most power financing strategy that you've NEVER heard about. In making that statement I'm not talking about some new fangled way to sell a home that no one has ever heard of. The strategies that we teach here are not new. How is that? Well, this is not the first time we've been in a rising interest rate market. The last time was in the 70's and 80's with mortgage rates topping off in the mid-teens. Yet, people bought and built homes back then - my parents included. But how did they do it? There was always the traditional option of going to the bank and taking out a loan, but what if you couldn't afford a mortgage rate at 7%, much less 16%? The answer lies in some long-known, but little used strategies that every Realtor USED to be familiar with.
