Tler Tyker Yesss she is so gorgeous ❤️ You're so lucky! I wish I could meet her, she seems like such a cool person. Sadly they never come to VA ☹️ But maybe it's for the best. I'd probably spaz out and make a complete ass out of myself if I actually got to meet them in person. Adoring Warpaint from my keyboard is much safer lol.
I just love how cheeky and sarcastic Emily Kokal is being in this video. But let's be honest, the "interviewer" (I use that term VERY loosely) deserved it.
I already "liked" this video, but one thumbs up just wasn't enough, so...👍👍👍 My only complaint here is the mixing. Seemed like the vocals were too high and the instruments weren't high enough. But still a good performance! I want more live versions of songs from the new album and I want them *NOW*! 😍😍😍
Thought the same but I kind of liked how it sounded in some songs, actually... I don't know, but I want there to be more acoustic sessions! I love them, especially coming from Warpaint :3
An inevitable part of being in a band that sees any modicum of success is that you’ll be expected to give interviews. Some of these interviewers are music journalists. They understand music. They know music. They live music. If a music journalist has any kind of credence in their field, they will not ask questions such as, “Where did the inspiration for your song come from?” Then there are hosts of tv shows such as this one here. Their job is to look pretty and to keep the audience alive. They’re supposed to act peppy and cute and nowhere in their job description does it say that they must know much about music. Your job, as a musician who is lucky enough to have exposure on a music tv show, is to answer mundane questions such as, “Where did the inspiration for your song come from?” even if it is the millionth time that a bubbly host who has no idea who you are has asked you. You do not roll your eyes. You do not make faces. You act gracious and smile just like your band mates are, and even if you’re dying inside, you get through it. Emily comes across as the most insufferable twat in this interview, and I wish I had never seen it. It ruined the way I thought of the band in general; she’s an embarrassment to her mates. So many musicians struggle just to be heard, and most of them would kill to trade places with you up there, Emily. When the host says, after noticing how bitchy Emily is being, I’m certain, something about how they’re cooler than she is and how she felt intimidated, I hope Emily felt like a piece of shit. Suck it up, Buttercup. You’ll live. So much love for Jenny, Stella, and Theresa.
I wonder if the father of the host is the owner of this (what is it: a radio programm, an internet channel? ) or is it her lover - there´s no reason to let someone like her ask questions . Or is it a comedy channel I don´t know yet?
Love all the linked arms during the interview, and Emily can't stop playing with Theresa's fingers haha
so cute ....

Dang, these girls ROCK! Love them!!
Emily is so sarcastic in this interview, it's great.

That 'interview' was so awkward but I love how dorky they replied to the questions 😂
soo good is my fave!!!
they're so amazing
Love their acoustic sessions. Reminds of of Rough Trade Sessions. Perfection.
Oh I loved the old rough trade sessions.
This performance is so beautiful
Wow great acoustic renditions. Phenomenal!
Acoustic sessions! YES!
Nice to see Stella in the middle, holding the mic, and speaking up a bit more than usual.
And to believe they would end up opening for Depeche Mode. So thankful they did and now I'm obsessed with these ladies!!!
they are soo magnetic
I just realized jen said she feels the most beautiful when shes sleeping 😭 what
Hah, she might have her pictures taken. Idk. :p
4:42 - So good
10:38 - Whiteout
16:02 - New Song

I ❤️ Jen
That pre-session "interview" was so painful.
"so good" is my (current) fave song on the album, but I love the vocal improvisations on whiteout in this session...amazing.

So much love for Jenny, Stella, and Theresa.
Tremendous
Wow, this was published the same day I had went to see them at The Fonda Theatre. Such an amazing band.
I have the clear impression that they are doing an enourmous amount of performances all over America and the world. Sometimes two concerts in one day.
Almost shat my pants! They're amazing. I actually like their old stuff 100x as much, this is much more generic unfortunately…
I disagree in fact I would say the new album is a return to form in comparison to their previous effort.
Agreed beelzebozos, I think "Heads Up" is *much* better than their self-titled album. The critics seem to think so too.
Spot on beelzelbozos. This feels more like Warpaint to me than "Warpaint" did.
Wow, it's so good! (heh)
I wanna hang out with these women so much.
Look like Stella upgraded from 5 gallon buckets for this session
If you made it long enough for the "Magnolia Cupcakes" you know you are the big winner.
You are beautiful!
session starts at 4:26
Creo que estan muy fuerte de volumen las voces y las guitarras bajas.
16:40 what's the name of this song ?
new song
💘
😍😍😍😍
influencias wutang hahahah wonderfull
stella sos grosa!
clearly the girls aren't fond of hype interviews which is so cute of them.
This interviewer is so awkward...man. No improvisation skills, like she gets nervous when they answer with a humorous reply.
She seems to be fangirling a bit...
Pijama girl lol
sassy

Oh my god that host is so annoying, why is she always yelling?
La peor entrevistadora!
Somebody is singing way out of tune!
