An intriguing story ... but narrated as a melodrama rather than the complex story it tells. The actress acting Marnie sounds as innocent and guileless as Rebecca; Hitchcock's version has more layers of psychological paradox than this one.
Oldie. Author reminds me, I wonder if Poldark has ever been adapted as radio play..? Would love to hear tho the mini series would be hard to top imo. 👍🏼 ❤it sm! (ofc I’ve never read the novel 😊)
Oddly I was wondering something similar, as a result of uploading various stories about smugglers on my other channel - but it seems that the only Poldark on BBC radio is a short story Winston Graham once wrote about a dream in which he met Demelza. It's very surprising, you would think it would be perfect for a radio series...
This was an excellent adaptation and Jade Williams was perfect as Marnie. Thank you for uploading.
Excellent dramatization.
