At the Borgata in Atlantic City, August 2016, I was going up to my room when a fire alarm was triggered. The Otis announced "Please stand clear of the closing doors. This elevator is needed for an emergency. Please exit when the doors open." and the fire hat lit up and stopped mid-floor and went back to the lobby.
Me too.... She's absolutely adorable. I get so wound whenever I see this video... and she goes on and on and on and you just don't want her to stop talking either....
This video is probably where the Otis Voice Vocabulary came from when playing the Otis Voice Vocabulary file from EG881's pack from the Skyscraper Simulator Forum.
I always love taking the Otis elevators at my hospital that have these enabled. Elevator A in Tower at Spartanburg Regional has the voice enabled on the right elevator but not the left one. Elevator E at the main hospital near the Pavilion has the voice enabled but it is pitched higher by roughly 30-40 cents.
I wonder who did the Schindler 400A elevator voice. That’s the nostalgic one for me. I’m pretty sure it only announces the floors, but still it was always unique to my ears.
@@ElevationStationProductions Funny, I was watching Deviant Ollam's video that just came out today interviewing L[inda, and wanted a refresher, so I looked up Otis' elevator voice, and found your comment!

I never knew before this video how many messages had been programmed into the elevator's "voice box" and I'll just say, wow. Although... I'll bet that could be confusing for someone to hear when the elevator powers on after a failure and it's backups are drained.
+simulatorguy100 +EscalatorsDotCo I agree. I wonder who the voice actress is or if Otis uses some kind of automated voice synthesis software. If I were programming the elevator, I would have the elevator say upon waking up for the business day after the building's power were to turn off for the night or at any time that the power were to suddenly go out, "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Do not be alarmed. We are currently experiencing a temporary power interruption."
I wonder if there is any way to do an indicator test...there always seems to be a lot of unused segments on any elevator indicator, sometimes more unused than actually used.
Yeah, I loved that. But notice she doesn't know Good Evening or Good Afternoon (unless she just said the Last words of each of those and she just went through them so fast I didn't notice)
When power is restored after a power loss, Otis elevators with automatic voice announcement cycle through their vocabulary. This video shows an Otis elevator cycling through its pre-programmed statements (many of which are compounded in actual scenarios, so it may seem jumbled here).
Im actually impressed about how they made all of the otis evelator voices, I love otis evelators
you are given an A+ FOR making all of the voices!
I have to admit this is really impressive from Otis elevators, this definitely deserves a thumbs up.

Adam Allred. I think it has a battery inside is system like all computers do. or a has a backup disk for the elevator.
There usually are unused words in any talking device, for future use.

Get number four
No, sometimes its easier to remember a letter instead of a letter, so it may be used in a pking garage.
