  • This is at Foxwoods in Connecticut. It's pretty cool how this feature can be added on to the 1990s elevator system.

I have to admit when I saw the title, I thought this was a joke. (Those 2 guys did this as a gag remotely some years back.) Seeing this is a real thing is honestly pretty dang cool! The possibilities this opens up are endless... everything from security to access for any number of limitations.

Makes me wonder if they programmed an Alexa in there

Woah that is really cool! Looks like the hand motion sensors and voice and the voice controls were put in as extra measures for Covid but it's still really cool to see!

This is so interesting, especially when the elevator is even in the original controller.

Imagine if ThyssenKrupp did that. You'd have a bloody hard time getting the elevator's attention.

This is a game changer for elevator technology! Not only is it convenient for not touching elevator buttons because of sanitary reasons. But this is a huge helper when it comes to using elevators if you are in a wheelchair and you have a hard time reaching the buttons like I do sometimes.

This elevator remembers me to a feature in my father's Galaxy SII (S2) which we could say "Hi Galaxy" for voice command. Now since the launch of "Ok Google" the S voice has since been unpopular (it is unknown when it was discontinued), also a Chinese automobile industry called Wuling has a similar features in their SUVs. The elevators at a trade center in Jakarta also used to have a third party Indonesian voice command features.

WOW, this is cool! Should be interesting to see this in place in more elevators, even after the pandemic. I like the way it has been integrated into the existing 1990's elevator system as well.

I didn't know this was a thing. Amazing! This could be useful for someone like me who is blind... I know Otis usually has braille in their elavators, but its nice to have options.
