I think it's awesome the way you live your life. I'm a 20 year old Dutch student and having ridden 4000 km trough Laos and Vietnam and planning to do a tour trough south-east, east europe this summer, you are quite the inspiring person. That's why I try to save up money and travel as much as possible before having responsibilities to follow up to. But for now; good luck on your further travels!

Lee, "stuck" in Rovaniemi FInland with the bike in pieces waiting on parts from BMW. All are on backorder. Typical BMW. New transmission bearings, new clutch, new clutch slave cal etc. All stuff that needs to be replaced anytime, so figured I'd do it now. Good luck with the lessons. If you can, get yourself an old cheap trials bike and take it out to some trails and play. That'll give you some good skills. Cheers' Murph.

you know Murph i remember a good handful of years back standing outside one night talking to my best friend, asking what really is the point to all this. to buy a house and maybe a few cars. you make me realize how focused on systems and "responsibilities" we are raised on. being significant is much more then stature glad we could talk -rico

You motivate me. Im 22 years old and i have been riding for 4 years now. In my opinion my motorcycle droped the standards i want in life, not in a bad way. Now i just want to see the world rather than live the American dream. It all started with my first ride through Joshua Tree national park in California. My dream place is to take my bike back to the Philipines where i was born and ride it through the country there. If you make it to the Philipines you need to post a video!
Does anybody know where he is now? I can't find him, and he hasn't made a post since February 2014, maybe he quit, or maybe he died, I would like to know.

Hey Murph ,great videos , i could not resist in dropping a word of encourgment and to congratulate a real biker , no words can measure up to what your life is , but most of us here on the day by day can only dream of something like it in bits and pieces , me 45 , about to buy a ktm 1190 adventure and ride to new found land as far as i can go and return to nc , the idea was to cross all the way to ice land and then to north of Europe to end up in portugal and or spain , monumental task in prep work and logistics for a regular guy like me , just as it got complicated i found your work and it gave me hope to continue , i suspect that i have yet to learn of more complications , but i am set on seeing it thru, as i have gave myself 6 more months to complete all that is necessary to learn and equipment to get, it is a on going fixation , for now it is just me against all odds , good luck to you and if you ever came around NC let me know , me casa su casa

Hi Lars, Siberia is my next expedition, I'm in the planning stages as I write this. And no, it turned out to be pretty easy in Scandinavia due to the hospitality of all the friendly people I encountered and Motorcycle clubs that offered me shelter. If I had to camp out in -12°C and below, then it would of been a bit more challenging. I've camped out down to -22°C, wasn't too bad, I have 2 reindeer skins for warmth. Thanks for commenting, Murph.

Marty, I've only been traveling for 3 1/2 years. And I travel cheaper than $20 per day. Unless I'm driving every day, which I don't. I camp on the road when I travel, or stay at MC's along the way.
