this song is the very definition of an earworm, last night i listened to it like 15 times in A ROW 😭 it doesn't get boring and knowing the dance makes it so much more fun to listen to

Newjeans are not a flashy group but they keep consistently standing out and dominating kpop for their good music. Praying hybe don't interfere with the creative department in ador.

will they ever release a version with more japanese in it? i know it's already marketed as a japanese debut but there isn't a lot of japanese in it, which is a shame because the song fits japanese lyrics so well TT i wish there was less korean/english in it.
@@choi3744 well jnetz love the version as it is and understand the inclusion of English since they're a global group. They appreciate the song as its primarily a Japanese debut with Japanese lyrics. Koreans love the song cuz it has Korean in it (which they really appreciate as they're still keeping their identity)
Overall I think the song is perfect as it is and it was genius on ador's part to do it in 3 languages. No wonder its so successful. Pretty sure other groups would soon start taking notes
@@pixie1802 i guess it is kind of a hit-all (seeing as it has the three languages of what i assume is their main audience), it's just kind of funny to market it as a japanese debut rather than just... a global release??
idk about other groups but it'd be a welcome change if anyone else decides to do this! many artists have done the whole multiple languages in one song but always nice to see more
@@choi3744 well in kpop it has already become a norm to include English in the songs half as much as the korean and yet it's still considered kpop and not a global release.. trendy jpop songs these days as well include good amount of English in their songs for that viral factor.
Either ways, I do believe they did classify it as J-Pop specifically since it was their official Japanese debut
I love the addition of low vocal tones in Supernatural, too. Minji's low vocals in How Sweet are so good. It adds a cool depth.

this is going up the list for me in terms of newjeans songs, it easily surpassed cool with you and it's really about to beat hurt for me 😭 it just sounds so good, so nostalgic, so bright, like i could almost picture myself driving through a city in a ghibli world

This reviewer seems quite popular. I saw his apologetic announcement on Patreon for not reacting to enough artists promptly, and he faced a lot of backlash from subscribers. I can't stop thinking about it whenever he pops up in my algorithm, because I never considered reacting to music videos as something so serious before, haha. It looks like he's really stressed about his work. I just hope things get better for him.

Supernatural reminds me of Get Down Saturday Night by Oliver Cheatham, it's a really old funk song and I know it because it was in GTA Vice City, it's not a reference for the younger people but it's so good, NewJeans never really disappoint honestly, all their songs are catchy and they portray the 90s style perfectly despite none of them even coming close of being born in the 90s lol
The 'I ❤ME' top is a 'I love Maine' promotional tee. Last year IU was wearing a 'Maine Maritime Academy' hoodie. The great state of Maine is getting a lot of K-pop exposure.

Oh theres a deep story there always is when its a 2 parter... my theory in short is the Bunny is Hyeins true alien form (from the bunny shaped ufo).. hyein is her human disguise but for some reason only the boy can see her as no one else interacts with her entire video. Bunnys creepy look reminds me Frank the Rabbit from the movie 'donnie darko' in that movie frank is a supernatural entity who only donnie can see.. much like only the boy can see hyein... when minji 'takes' the boy away from hyein it actually looks like she isn't even aware hyein is there... the film donnie darko is also about time travel and if you watch closely the dance scenes keep flipping from 80s to present day with the mics being switched for smartphones 1:03. The lyrics suggest a relationship being 'supernatural' possibly alluding to the boy and alien bunny hyein. Theres a scene where hyein is seen looking 'ghostly' sitting to the left of the screen holding an alien 1:48. Minji, Haerin, Hanni, Dani and 'the guy' seem to be paranormal investigators as at the start they get out of a van laden with equipment on top and 'supernatural' written on it along with logo (like the ghostbusters ecto-1 car).. its likely they are investigating the supernatural goings on in the city with the strange weather, zebra unicorn and UFO activity... also..the tower at the beggining is normal but at the end changes form to have bunny ears maybe hyeins presence there has not only changed the tower but also given the girls powers which would explain dani... anyway.. thats my short version theory. we will find out more when part 2 is released... :P

@@scanspeak00 Also notice they are dancing on top of their moving van... my initial thought was they have over exaggerated the van size for theatrical effect and to get them all fit on it.. which is most likely.... but then it also struck me given how zany the video already is that its possible they have all been shrunk down to bunny size lol... although yeah im probably reaching with that one... most likely the former.

In the video it said “coming next week” and then the outfits are different, its probably gonna be for part 2 of the MV and i think there’s something going on between minji, hyein (aka bunny lol), and the guy.
Since in this mv, the guy and hyein bond, but in one part towards rhe end, minji calls the guy, leaving hyein, and in the coming next week preview, it looks like hanni and minji are arguing then hanni says “見つけられるよ” which means i’ll find out/you’ll find out (depending on the context), then a clip of minji and the guy shows up up close, then cuts to a sad bunny, then hyein’s solo… lol
This guy loves the same artists that I love. Good tastes 🫰
