    I think you've been spoilt by using that Z9 these days. Just think of the rest of mirrorless users trying to focus with our other Z bodies. Not easy!

    Did I miss reference to AF Tracking on the Z6II, etc ? Auto Area plus tracking is an option I would have thought ? (would be great to have 3D tracking on the Z6III !)

    Let me give you a list of Nikon cameras that tracks and focuses well on birds.
    Z9.

    A vid about AF that doesn't say when you are best off using group v dynamic v 3D? Why did I bother looking at it.

    Sooo, will the Z8 have 3D tracking? 😉

    Unfortunately the D500 which I own doesn’t have the Dynamic 9 Point AF Area Mode which I can’t understand because it became available for the D5 via a firmware update. For the type of photography I do it would be a game changer for me. Ricci, in your capacity of testing Nikon kit and feeding back to the appropriate team within Nikon, could you please, please, please put forward a request for a firmware update for the D500 that will give it the Dynamic 9 Point AF Area mode to bring it into line with the D850 and D5?

      Never gonna happen. Why would Nikon allocate technical ressources on a discontinued DSLR body? they already said that there will be no more development made on DSLR bodies. Everything has now shifted towards mirorless technology. That being said, the D500's AF is still better than the Z6 II. At least for fast action stuff.

      @@FlyersNation98 It’s not that long ago Nikon released the firmware update for CF-Express cards and they also released a further Firmware update for the D500 after that but I can’t remember what it was for.

    • @FlyersNation98
      @FlyersNation98 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Gazzab6 maybe but they will never develop a firmware update for the AF, probably the most complex thing to do. I have a D500, love it to bits but I know it will never upgrade anymore. Stil a beast though!

      @@FlyersNation98 Totally agree with your comments about the D500. Probably ahead of it’s time when released which has given it some longevity. Even some newer cameras can’t match its buffer rate. I’ll be keeping mine for some time yet as it still delivers and it’s a joy to use.

      that's because the D850 is better, and the D500 sucks balls.

    The subject of teaching is what I have had looking for.
    (The Z9 is completely different with DSLR in setting and operating.) However, I am not a native English speaking and this instructor spoke too fast without point, comma…😢 could you slowdown for non native English speakers.

      Come on now; just turn on closed captioning and pause as needed.

    And how does the AF-C with many focus points works? If choose any of these you still have to use one spot and if the subject moves out of that point no focus is performed. Noone really explains that part anywhere.

    • @NikonEurope
      @NikonEurope  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi fidodido665,
      AF-C helps since the camera is continuously trying to focus on the subject, and is most used for moving subjects where the focus point changes. When you refer to many focus points, this is set on the AF-Area mode and while on "Single Point" the camera will focus on the subject that point is on, when you have multiple points the camera should also gather information from the surrounding points. This allows for focus to be maintained if the subject leaves the central focus point.
