You're literally a wizard, thank you so much for this-I learned more here than I have following the endless amounts of random vital content on this site and ended up making a neat sound in the process. Well done!
The skillset you possess is stunning, really. Easily one of my top go-to's for anything sound design related. If I need to synthesize a sound, I look here for a tutorial a lot. Thanks Dash, your music is fire
Amazing video, been following your Vital sound design tutorials for years now, it is always amazing to see what nuances you come up with. Please keep them up!
Beautiful. I was trying similar - using a comb filter to key track in native bigwig but stupidly couldn't get the keytracking correct - very frustrating - no doubt my stupidity!
From min 9 the Dash's genius rises up. My god. I wonder what if you would have gone for other field of applicaiton of your capabilites, let's say software coding. You'd be Sam Alton's Daddy. Holy cow. Really impressive.
I've tried to replicate this or at least do something usable with the noise generators in Phase Plant, but I've been unable to come up with anything usable as a full instrument or that is not easier to achieve using other generators. I hope you do something similar with that.
Woa!! So realistic!! Oo resonators? In which case I'll mention this works to make guitars and bass, cos i can The... The resonaotr part, not the bow part
Really great sound. Comb filters seem like a great sound source. Have you ever heard the song "Howard Jones - I want to get to know you well"? It has a really cool steel drum like rhythmic pad sound in it. When the key is pressed it kind of repeat itself. Do you think this is achievable using the envelope trick from this video? Or any other idea to recreate it? Anyways, thanks for sharing your stuff with us! m.th-cam.com/video/5Y37WPBBJIQ/w-d-xo.html
Those kinds of percussive /metallic stuff are often combinations of fundamentals and inharmonic tones, which are best suited for FM and additive stuff, I reckon it's a combination of that and a reverb and or granular stuff?

Thank you and well done to you
My fav sound designer. 4 years ive been following your tutorials. The pace of the vid is perfect too.
I thought it was another sound design not related to string sound, but this one really sounds amazing.
>that sounds better than i'd expected<
brilliant lesson. thank you

Thank you so much Dash for sharing your teachings on my favorite synth.
My pleasure!
This is just crazy, I would never guess you could do that
(11:17 Main recorder died because the sound was too good)
Your skills are just as great as Vital!
Great sounds!

Outstanding! I haven't spent much time with the comb filters, but I see that's going to change! Cheers!

Thank you! Funnily enough I'm pretty bad at coding but appreciate that thanks
@@DashGlitch I'm happy you chose this line of work!
Very nice!
If you have not already, make an orchestral Vital preset pack. Sell it for 30 bucks and I will get it.
Super cool
very cool dash!
omg! that's amazing dude. Keep going!!
Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much!! Top quality as usual
Always a pleasure!
if you want a slightly more realistic sound you can set the LFO to key track since lower strings are loser and tend to snag when you're using a bow
Great idea too!
Superb. Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
Gracias 🙌
