Shooters global listened to complaints. New magnetic mount was released. It has a port to make it considerably louder and the magnet is stronger. $30. They keep updating the software based on feedback and shooting modes. Watch their TH-cam videos before buying to see if it is for you. Ty for this review.
Yep they are sending me one to try out, looking forward to playing with it. Still, it's seems to be the quietest timer I own even off the base. And I suspect the stronger magnet will make the false extra shot issue worse, but we'll see.
Try the silicone case they sell now. I imagine it will hurt the volume (not sure if it is ported) but remove the false extra shots. I don't remove it from the magnet while shooting so I have not run into that as a problem.@@SpecTrain
@@chrisosterfund9784 Did all the testing. SG is 82db on the old base, 88db on the new one. So slight improvement. I measured it at 99db with no base which is actually slightly louder than the AMG even though it doesn't sound like it. I assume the perceived difference is due to the SG being so high pitched. Kestrel and pact both over 100.
I dont really like mine overall. I love that it picks up dry fire but it falls off the magnet when running too easy, isnt very loud and is just too complicated for me.
Interested, but it sucks that the beep doesn't play on headset. I mean, it has bluetooth and app on your phone, how hard is it to make the beep sound through it? 👎👎👎
I use a range tech timer. I’m not sure how durable it is as I’ve never used it in inclement weather but I like the it links with your phone and gives you readouts of your strings.
It's been over a YEAR since I ordered the AMG shot timer. 6 months after the order the owner emailed me an update but I've received no replies since then. I would not buy anything from AMG.
Add me to the list of those who were scammed by AMG! Order placed Sept 2023. Received an order confirmation, but not a peep since! $165 down the drain…. Dude’s a douchebag!
What I will say is for those who only have access to an indoor range, the Shooters Global seems to be a game changer from the reports I'm hearing. I've just bought one so we'll see. But my pact is just not feasible at a busy indoor range.
I have both shooters global and I don’t see how they are any better in an indoor range. They pick up every shot within pretty much the whole range even with the sensitivity low. I’m curious why you say they are better for indoor?
@@calitovegas408 that's very odd. Mine works for detecting mostly only my shots when the sensitivity is dialed down. Granted I request a stall away from most shooters, but it's a small range.
Very curious about the newer Shooters Global "Go" version, its a smaller timer with a top screen like the PACT, but all the smart app features as the full size $300 timer for about the same price as the PACT (150 I think)
They are suppose to come out with a newer one (PACT) that has a longer par time than 99.99 seconds. Can't find anymore info? You know anything about it?
If you read the support pages of Practiscore, you'll see that the mobile developer is a volunteer and kind of a nutjob. Good CS for software has always been hard to find, but this company still lives in the 00's. According to the site, they're still on 1.x. The other "versions" available through the Play store are likely counterfeit.
I ordered one from AMG in October and haven't heard a word from them although I've emailed at least 4 times so I had to place a claim on them through PayPal
Why dont you just put a retractable lanyard with steel wire on the AMG? Use a d ring or similar thing to clip to your belt? It will flop around if yoir running. But if your static it should be gtg.
I find the AMG is the best middle ground, and especially shines as a dry fire aid. It works on the range, has adjustable sensitivity for indoors, and it works well for dry fire. Unlike the Pact, the AMG will pick up dry fire, has adjustable volume, and it's nearly half the price of the other more customizable units (SG and Kestrel). You can also set multiple par times which I don't think the Pact can do. It's closest match I think is the CED700, but that won't pick up dry fire, and has more annoying buttons. Yes it's a bit of a message in a bottle when you order one, and AMG absolutely needs to be better about that, but it offers a lot of functionality in a small package for a mid-range price. Lack of belt clip is definitely annoying though.
I cancelled my AMG order after waiting 8 months & no communication. It's probably good & probably durable but not worth that shitty wait. Who knows if you'd get warranty support either. I couldn't recommend them. SG's newest affordable timer would be a better choice, in my opinion.
Yeah, I've been waiting 8 months and finally reached out to cancel or change my order. They do have a "lite" version that's supposedly in stock, but I may just go elsewhere if they ever respond and I'm able to cancel.
Thank you!
i have an old blueberry (comp elec pocket pro 2), but still appreciate your perspective on what’s available today..grateful

It’s ported on the back

When it plays beep on a headset via the bluetooth it is already connected with Ill consider.
Bold of you to assume I can see what's on my belt (o below my waist) just by looking down.
Great comparison info, much appreciated.
SHOOTERS GLOBAL… the best! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

That’s an interesting idea for Bluetooth ear pro
Very informative video

I'm having the same problem.
Had to report them to PayPal
Fuck. I waited 8-9 months before getting my refund. I wrote an irritated e-mail & the guy responded quickly.
Yep, AMG contact is non existent. 8 week backorder means 8+ months. Avoid like the plague
I ordered mine July 18th 2023 have emailed him 4 times no response I've reported it to the authorities

I was in on a group buy when the AMG first dropped. I got a belt clip holster when I ordered mine. I'm not sure if they still offer that.
Thanks..Good info!
Great Video… Thanks..!🍻

Which one for dry fire practice?
Mantis
Shooters Global…
great review thanks
Good video!!
Been waiting over 7 months for my AMG Commander. 8 week lead time, my ass.
13 months and it finally shipped. Small electronics businesses in an industry that doesn't value innovation are tough to maintain.

The PACT timer is not the best for suppressed pistols or rimfire rifle (youth programs) because of shot sensitivity.
What version of Practiscore were you referencing in the video?

The shooters global needs a dedicated go button and a to screen would be nice. However it really just needs a go button!
does the Pact timer have a par time option?
Absolutely

@@EverythingisFire yeah I can't blame you there. The new SG Go does look very intriguing. I'm gonna pick one up this spring to try.

Unrelated; but favorite ear pro? I saw buds of some sort in the other videos. Ps thanks for all the free information and videos ❤
buds, otte engineering. Muffs, sordins.
You should repeat the names of the timers more often.
