In this episode of The Alternative Travelogues, we visit the site of a once thriving village in the English countryside, which has since been lost to the elements...
I don't know why TH-cam recommended your video to me, but I'm very happy they did. I've had a look through your catalog and I think I might have to bingewatch everything. Your sarcastic jokes had me giggling multiple times in this video alone. Cheers from the low lands across the North Sea!
Inquiring American wants to know what sort of stone was used in the town's construction absolutely everywhere? It appears to be similar to chunky flint, but this stone seems more colorful, though that could just be interesting moss ... do tell!
It is indeed flint! I think the colouring is moss/lichen, but I'm no expert! The village was made up of flint and red brick buildings, with slate roofs
The driest of the dry. Very enjoyable and entertaining.
Thank you very much!
Still laughing at the william cat commentary
Excellent video, would love to see more in this style
Thank you very much! Plenty more coming...

Great video. I walked along there from Seaford to Newhaven a few weeks back. Why haven't property developers moved into this area ?
Good stuff

Interesting stuff. If you find that one interesting, have a look at the history of Hallsands in Devon.
Haven't heard of Hallsands... will have to check it out! Thanks very much
