    Thanks a lot for dooing these videos, amplifiers are so cool and so important to see on the inside. I found it interesting this thing is using the tiny version of the ess9038 chip. Most of these more high end devices seem to use the beefy 8-channel variants but those little guys sound pretty grreat too. I think they have less channels making for a much simpler design

    • @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120
      @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @OGmolton1 yeah Audiolab has been engeenering their dac around the ESS chip for almost 13 years ' and they have made such good synergy with built in dacs very own powersupply and output stage ' the dac in the 7000a destroys the dac built into the Denon pma1700 and it's the same chip but different designed ' circuit' which is just as important as the chip it's self

      Use some old cork squares underneath the amp in all four corners wear the feet are ' like they
      Use with Record players ' this will lift the amp up for better airflow and disapait the heat, under the 7000a are some very nice vents ' and those square cork will help with vibrations no since in buying $200 esoteric feet !!

    Hello Tee-Jay, really appreciate the value you deliver, as I took it and I'm very happy with the Audiolab 6000A and Triangles Comente 40th using Eversolo DMP-A6 ME as streamer, altough wonder if the 6000A is not a bit behind such speakers and streamer and thinking on moving to the 7000A as I don't want to lose any of its "greatness" but, it is sooooo similar to the 6000A, in case you have tested it with the Triangles, would you share your comments about improvements respect to the 6000A? No problem buddy ' as you know I am not a salesman "
      If you upgraded to 7000a you will have a LITTLE bit more power espically dynamic range and Bass Attack but it's a small difference the biggest Value with 7000a besides a little bit more power is the built in dac it's Great !! Even rivals my dacs costing $700-800 U.S. and having HDMI/USB also is big feature for some people Bluetooth is pretty killer as well it even shows the songs playing on the upgraded display screen
      That's has many different display options
      Another great feature is the analog inputs not dac inputs but analog inputs have gain level match from -5 to 5+ db which would allow you to add more gain. ' As far as over all resolution With analog inputs the 7000a barley edges out the 6000a but internal dac vs dac 7000a is supreme ' but I take it your using the eversolo as dac/streamer which should be just as good as built in dac of 7000a Which eversolo uses the ESS9038q2m honestly for the price of 7000a I'd urge you not to buy the 7000a '
      Your 6000a with eversolo should be just as good yes 7000a has a tad more power but for price I think you can do much better by buying an standalone amp and using 6000a as preamp ' if you bought something like the Galion TS-A75 You'll hear a bigger difference lots of powaaa and great bass ext and dynamic range even at low volume ' But if you wanted an Intg amp I would reccomend the New Marantz 50 2ch class AB amp it's pure analog so you could just hook up your eversolo to it ' it's powerful and one of the best Intg Amps I have heard with 🔺️ 40th ' but make sure you get 2 channel model ' it can draw up to 65amps !! That's great for integrated amp ' during my review of 40th I said 6000a is good up to mod volumes but I would actually reccomend if you listen at loud volumes to use speakers that are 89db efficency and above to have that full flesh n body Sound ' espically at louder volumes Even the New Denon PMA 1700 I am about to review sounds great with 40th ' I hope this helps I wrote a book ' 😆
      Because I am here for you all not the audio companies '

    Seeing how slow the cpu is on that Audio Lab, I'm curiious if you have tried out one of the Eversolo Streamers ? While the meters etc can't quite keep up perfectly in real time, the Eversolo doesn't lag on every function or parameter change like that Audiolab with it's small display. The Evesolo display is just beautiful and unlike some, i really enjoyed the detailed sound of it. It just needs to be paired with the right gear.

      Well you could measure the voltage with a vault meter set it on AC measure the pre amplifier RCA on One Channel and what it is at maximum and what it is at minimum, there is a calculator for that as well but I remember where it is of hand. I would say something like 5 volts ppv, question is what is its lowest point it can't really be less than half of Volts. When you got it on - 6 dB does it seem really quiet do you have to turn the maximum master volume up? Question is where the starting point is? I can't seem to figure that out if it say zero dB normally that's two volts peak to peak. I would say must be a vote in a half difference???@@tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120

      I have to keep it real ' And I don't think it will drive your LRS you wouldn't have the dynamic range nor the Headroom '
      You want an amp that can drive those Maggie's effortlessly without putting a strain on the amp ' 7000a will get very hot with those speakers'
      7000a does not like speakers that drop down to below 4ohms I mean if you don't listen above 85/86 db then yeah you'd be OK " I am about to review the new Galion TS-A75 that's just a power amp but it will five the shit out of your Maggie's!! Sparkos SS3602 ' but what I was getting at is Audiolabs built in dac sounds best with the Audiolab intg amp - shortest signal path the Aune X8 is still a great dac for the price !
      Alot of the budget building the 7000a was spent on the internal dac espically the internal clocks I showed did you see the size of the Xmos digital integrated interface ?

      That's a tuff 1 depends on what you want out of your speakers 8300a is almost colorless very very transparent but hell of sweet top end Airy/Sparkle is very good but 8300a does not have a subwoofer output and the fullrange pre-outs can only be used in pre-amp mode Preouts don't work in integrated amp mode which is a bummer for some pep
      The 7000a does have more color to the sound but it's still 'fairly' netural relaxed sounding ' And the built in dac dam it's really good ! I haven't tried the R200s but but I do have the Lsim 703 ' Personally sounds like you really like the 6000a So on that note I'd go 7000a it's the big brother to the 6000a and you would have fullrange preouts that work in integrated amp mode ' Hope this helps

    I completely agree that this is an absolutely fantastic amplifier, but claiming it's so much better than the 6000a seems a bit off to me. I've tested both, and even though the 7000a is slightly better in certain aspects, the difference is so minimal that you have to concentrate to notice it clearly. When playing these two at low to normal volume levels, there's practically no discernible difference. The 7000a plays a bit louder, but apart from that, there's very little distinction, certainly not enough to justify the price compared to the 6000a. I strongly doubt that one could hear a significant difference between these two in a blind test. That being said, this only proves how exceptionally good the 6000a truly is. You won't notice "significant" changes until you reach the top model, and even then, it's not a night and day difference.

      More effortlessly bass attack/Dynamic Range 'headroom .
      But in terms of performace with using built in dac 7000a is levels above 6000a - And we can decode DSD/MQA and Higher Rez PCM the 7000a built in dac is outstanding even competing with my Higher end outboard dacs !
      Even the British Audiophile said built in dac is better than his Denafrips of course being paired up to the Audiolab ' having USB/HDMI is a huge improvement over toslink Coax which gives 7000a advantage '
      I talked this morning to Lead Engeener of Audiolab Jan Erthner and he confirmed many tweaks went into 7000a espically the built in dac '
      Even the B.T 5.0 Apt X LL is better than 6000a - But like I said many times in video So is the pricepoint your right on with that I agree'
      I have 2 listing rooms One Nearfield you see in Video that's lightly acoustically treated and my entertainment Room medium sized that is highly treated with 16 panels 8 diffusers and ceiling cloud panel '

In terms of price and sound quality, the gap wasn't as clear to me. To be honest I don't like amplifiers that only can be paired with certain efficient speakers. A really good amp that deserves the name can control (nearly) every speaker. The others simply are "loudmakers" but no amplifiers. Imagine you want to change your speakers with 90dB and switch to lets say DYANUDIO with 85dB but with a superb sound you love. Result is you also have to sell your "weak" amplifier. So a good start in a decent hifi system is an amplifier as kind of control center that will stay and drive any spaeker you offer him. Just my five cent to this. 🙂

      I demoed the 7000 vs the cxa81 this week actually. The speakers were wharfedale diamond 12.3 towers… For me, I’d get the 7000 but if I was starting out I’d get the 81. That’s because I already own an arcam sa30 with kef r3, so I wanted to make a system that sounded different in the first place. Basically if you like soft sound, Cambridge, if you like fast and arguably more impressive sound, 7000. I personally just bought wharfedale diamond 230s for £200 and the 8300 which I got used for less than £500… So there’s the price to worry about where you could add a sub if you get a good deal on the rest of the gear

    Is the 6000a a good match for q3050i speakers?

    • @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120
      @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Str8 up I don't know if 6000a could drive them fully ! I would have to look up the specs ' I wouldn't pair up a speaker that's below 89db with 6000a or speakers that drop below 4 ohms hope that helps 6000a is best used with very efficant speakers like Klispch/Zu/Tecktons 👍

      @@tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120 q3050i is rated at 91db, my worry is it's not a forward sounding speaker like Klipsch it's a kind of laid-back sounding speaker.

    7000A or Yamaha R-N800A for KEF R3 Meta?

    • @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120
      @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Bro you better go Audiolab !!
      Zero-Fidelity will back me up !!!
      Thay Yamaha is to bright for those
      Speakers I love Yamaha but it's a
      Picky amp !
      I have 3 sets of Kefs trust me !
      But honestly 9000a would be your best for drive power but you have option if i was you i would by the New Marantz 50 2channel integrated amp that took the place of the Pm8006 the synergy with Kef/Marantz is very good also but Marantz puts in a hefty 625va toridal transformer for drive power !! Go with new Marantz 50 2 ch intg amp !

      @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You will thank me !! But Marantz doesn't have built in dac 7000a is very good but r3 meta if you listen loud love power Marantz 50 can draw 65amps of power instantly !
      It's a solid amp ! But 7000a is good also ' but I think Marantz does it better as far as drivel power and imaging

      @ythestereo-bargainph2120 Thanks dude. That is a lot of info for me to digest. Guess I need to do more research.
      The choice is obviously dictated by my budget.
      The reason why I was considering Yamaha R-N800A is because it has a built in streamer and I read that it has more than enough power to drive Meta 3s.
      You did say that Yamaha amp sounds to bright for Mata 3s. My plan was to actually use Yamaha for the power aspect only but bypass its DAC by connecting Chord Mojo 2 with RCA cable to analog input in Yamaha amp. This way I thought I will have class A DAC from Chord Mojo 2, combined with the power of Class AB amp from Yamaha. Would be good to know what you think in case I am just bulshiting myself with this idea. Once again many thanks for all the valuable info.

      @pistopit7142 I see some problems there when you use the Yammies built in streamer its connected to the internal dac of Yammie ' you will not be able to run digital stream output to your dac and then back into the yammie analog inputs ? Let me look up that Yamaha cause I do believe built in streamer uses built in dac ? Just went threw this a few months ago with the Audiolab Omnia !! The built in streamer is tied to internal dac one guy thanked me a million times for letting him know lol or maybe you use another digital transport to your Chord dac then to yammie just want you to beware of streamer/internal dac only ' Hope the hell I didn't confuse ya
      Karta.boy.1974@gmail.com
      My email ' I know it's nice having
      All built into one ' but built in dac on yammie might sound great with your setup '

      @ythestereo-bargainph2120 many thanks. That is a briliant point I've not thought of. So if I use Yamaha streamer then I will likely be forced to use bult in DAC. That makes a lot of sense.
      In the setup with Chord Mojo I was describing earlier I was planning to have Chord Mojo connected to my PC with usb-c cable so I would be streaming from my PC rather than Yamaha. I think in such setup I would be able to bypoass built in Yamaha DAC.
      So I guess I would need to use both DACs depending on my source of streaming. If I understand all this correctly, then I think that Yamaha amp is still a pretty solid deal. On many forums I see people prising Yamaha for it's neutral sound, I don't know how much I can believe it. It's really hard in audio world to make an informed decission, there are so many often contradicting opinions. This is especially hard for a newbie like me who is currently rocking old and loved Klipsch R41-PM with Chord Mojo 2 in the loop. One thing I can tell for sure is that whatever I upgrade to Chord Mojo stays in the loop. It has added so much live into my old crappy speakers.

    I am really struggling to decide between the 7000a and the Marantz Model 40n. They both seem like excellent choices and I can find a used 40n for a similar price to the Audiolab. I am currently saving up for a pair of Buchardt s400 mk2s. Any thoughts on which of these two choices would pair best with that type of speaker?

      Honestly I have never tried out the
      MARANTZ 40n - but I have owned many many Marantz Amps and I know the Marantz House sound very well ' but i do know Those Bucharts love power to wake up !
      My opion I'd Go Marantz 40n or the New Marantz 50 2 channel integrated amp basically the new Pm8006 but New 50 is pure analog but powerful up to 65 Amps of current!! with a 625va toridal transformer and Hdams ' I believe the Marantz will give you better bass control and fullness ' IMHO 😉
      But Zero-Fidelity has had the N40 he'd be a better reviewer to ask tha KS for stopping in
