Real nice lantern. In 1982 my grandfather gave me his 1972 Sears and Roebuck single mantle lantern. It's still in great shape like yours and I still use it. It's great for cat fishing.
I just got a 12V Coleman flourescent lantern. It had been in a shed for who knows how many years. I plugged it in and it worked. Found an extra set of tubes also. I can use it indoors powered by a solar generator.
Perfect timing.. my mom found a lantern and stove at a sale in Florida, she opened the lantern case and there was a sears avocado inside 😊it will be here in a few days..I hope it's as nice as that one. Enjoy
That lantern looks like it has the burner of a Coleman 220J. Although my favorite Sears lantern would be the Ted Williams variant with the chrome or nickel tank and the red version with the black hat. What would your favorite Sears lantern be? Or I'm guessing the avocado in the video? Have a great holiday season.
It is the same burner as a 220J, my favorite sears is also my Ted Williams, I did a video on it a couple years ago. You have a great holiday season also!

Hi to you and your Dad from Ireland I love your channel .I have a lantern collection and I am a little jealous of all the great finds you show us😊.
Thanks for watching! I love hearing from viewers in other countries!
Back in the day we covered the glass on one side with aluminum foil . To reflect the light to one side . Made better fishing lights .
I've made reflectors out of 16oz beer cans, cut the top and bottom off and split it down 1 side and it fits perfectly around half the globe!
I’m looking for a good deal on a sears lantern. I currently don’t have one In my collection. Thanks for another great video.
The postal service is terrible in my area, I have received several items that have been bought on ebay, Broken . Or completely lost. 😮

Looking at the top of the burner tubes, it appears it wasn’t run long enough to discolor the metal. Nice find.
