This is so awesome... The team behind this is so talented, this is like a dream come true.
But one thing that jumps out at me is that the signboards look really out-of-place somehow. Why do they look like that?
Those are outdated, when I play SM64 co-op Deluxe with the R96 models pack the signs look better, its the same model but the front isnt just a flat white with text on it
I saw a video on part 1 like a year ago. When is parts 2 or even 3 of the game coming out. Are they still being worked on?
they had a extended hiatus of work being done since one of the main team members left, sadly
i believe work resumed not too long ago, though, and theyve since gotten new team members

Yes, but they are not rendered (except for locations with big buttons) and even more so, these are render levels and a particle of passage.
That's why it says first set 🗿
The sprites are amazing, what did you use to do them?
Its a little silly seeing the ship in jolly roger bay getting extra detail once its out from underwater but I understand why they had to do that with the limitations they were working with
Love R96 but I prefer to use the HD level textures that match the original design with the new model sprites. Perfect balance imo

Mario's voice needs to be more balanced out, some are too loud. otherwise, this is an amazing mod
I don't like Bob-omb Battlefield, but Whomp's Fortress looks pretty swell.

This barely looks better than a texture pack. The models still look n64 in detail.
Bro, 60fps, free camera view are enough already for this kind of project, let alone the texture packs and models which they implemented....
Just looking at wooden fences is incredible enough...Imagine how much time they went on to lose in order to get this thing going.
In my opinion when should be grateful for the way things are currently...
It works so well on android, with some minor issues and bugs, it crashes from time to time but nothing insanely bad...The best platformer of all time should only be altered as much imo.
Just a slight modernisation touch and thats about it, the ingame feel of the original should always stay within the game, thats what makes it special...Without his weird jumping audio they implemented for some reaspn.

@@lgoledc1 he is way to harsh....But the game definitely has to work on analog stick improvements and stuff like that.
For me it simply isnt working to well, it feels like i am emulating the game. It can probably be fixed just like fps and stuff like that.
All in all, this may need some improvement technically wise, but otherwise everything works just fine. It just feels a bit weird and hard to control in certain instances, i dont know how much sense this improvement makes, as we dont want to strafe away from og to much, but it is what is.
