Our family had two giant lop-eared rabbits (very similar to this cutie), and hollly shiz they were humongous! I think the reason they were so big was because they were bred to be that way, we suspected that because we actually found them in a garbage can behind a rabbit fair or contest thing, which rabbit is the biggest or something. And I’m guessing that they lost the contest and the heartless owner threw them away like some monster. This was circa 1999 btw, they were so adorable, we put them in our backyard and they built little rabbit holes for themselves. ❤️

There's always a concern whenever we open our homes to animals, domesticated or not. He seems like a normal rabbit with a very mild temper, well fed and loves his name. Actually some rabbits can get just a little bit bigger, my sr year of highschool I was in small animal care class and my teacher brought in a giant pet bunny at least a little bit bigger than this 1 "small animal care, giant bunny go figure ironic right". His breed was interesting he was a something Rex I don't know exactly neither did she, she had it on paper somewhere but he was the sweetest giant bunny I ever met. You could sit with him you could stuff you're face in his furr you could give him hugs and kisses as long as you didn't go for the face, rabbits are actually rodents not too many people know that so what that means is their teeth are very sharp because of a coating on them that keeps renewing itself, so you don't want to be near the face of any rabbit not even a docile 1. Also he had a absess growing under 1 of his eyes, half the time the teacher had to lance it to let it drain and that flair up went away and healed but it always came back a couple times a month. His name was Reacee and he was a very sweet and cuddly bunny. My teacher before her had a bunny half Recee's size but he was still big, he was the floppy eared kind and his name was Max. Max just liked chilling and lounging around. If the teachers actually got leashes for their giant bunnies they could have the students walk them outside and Max probably wouldn't be so chill he might have had a little energy to him, but still He would've been a sweet bunny.

I'd made them coffee and we were sitting and chatting and then my bunny, Merlin, hopped into the room. The mother: did I just see a rabbit? Then squeals of delight. Saw a big rabbit like this about 10 years ago at the pet store, and fell in love with it, but had to talk myself into taking him home and when I went back the next day to get him he was gone. To this day I've never had an immediate connection to an animal the way I did with him. 😔
