'Good morning, Judge-why do you look so mean, sir? And mister Judge, what can the charges be? If there is trouble, I will plead 'not guilty ',it must be someone else, you know it can't be me!!!'

He should never have contact with them ever again. What they did to him was unbelievably cruel. Putting a 12 year old to work to pay off their gambling debts. Absolutely cruel and disgusting I somehow don’t think those 10 years are going to change his parents at all. There’s still gonna be selfish individuals and gamblers can fall off the wagon just like alcoholics can so I wouldn’t put it past them for them to get back to gambling as soon as they’re out of jail. They were too selfish and cruel and I seriously seriously don’t believe that having been in jail, will really change them at all.

Do everything to make it right. The only way they could make it right is turn back time, and we all know that's impossible.

First one here. Having your kids work at age 12 that's illegal.

It is illegal. At least in America it is. In America you have to be at least 15.5 years old to work at an actual work site. But you can only work 4 or 5 hour shifts and cannot work morning or night shifts or shifts that require a lunch break till you are 18.

12 year olds can't legally work at a factory. Parents and the fall guy at the factory will get in alot of trouble for that alone.

If anybody saw a 12-year-old working in a factory they probably would have called anonymously to OSHA and everybody else. He could have potentially died because of his height getting in the way.

Very strange that he could work like this for 4 years before intervention was made. Now he was actually big enough not to be noticed, while as a 12-year-old he is small enough to intervene quickly because this is more visible.

What country is this supposed to be set in? At what age can a child start in the workforce, in America for instance? In Australia a juvenile must be 14 years and 9 months before they can start work.

What about the factory workers once the firm was closed? Were they offered other jobs?
