Furai still appears on modern racing games, doesn't need to scan the real model, the developers can create using the real life images. That discussion doesn't make sense, since Furai was destroyed in 2008 and a lot of racing games released later still added the car.
I always wondered why this car was never made Premium in Gran Turismo games. I know that it was destroyed but surely Mazda still has the CAD files for it for these other devs to create their own models (with interiors to boot) out of. The fact that a game as recent as Grid Legends has this and not Gran Turismo, THE premium Japanese car game, boggles my mind.
In a prior comment i said why they didn't come onto that approach. People just can get that stupid and pissy over the slightest thing, even if it's such a good recreation as Polyphony Digital can do. I mean, nobody would haven't noticed the GT5's Skyline (R34) GT-R came from an actual AutoArt 1/18th replica until someone actually flipped the car ingame and noticed were those weird markings on the underpinnings came from.

I find GT Motor Racing’s rendition hilarious with the interior mismatch. It reminded how you can be given a C1 Corvette and it’ll have a modern interior from the newer Vettes. Really goofy.

From what I can tell, everyone makes it sound like a V10 or a V12, Forza gets really close, but surprisingly, the most realistic rotary sound seems to come from Asphalt 8 of all places. Way to go Gameloft I guess.

I find it fascinating that only Asphalt 8 has an accurate 3-rotor sound while the others all sound like V10s or... uhm... SOMETHING. And then Gameloft threw these sounds out of the window and gave it a generic V6 sound again for Asphalt 9.
I wonder if the car was never destroyed, if it would find success and mazda would had given the rotary more chances. And if they would even try their hand at sports cars even if low sports ones again. For me concept cars that had a functional or semi functional prototype or test mule like this are glimpses of thinfs that could had been under diferent circunstances.
It was run on the 32-bit Nougat version of Bluestacks, which version I believe shouldn't have any audiovisual issues running a 32-bit game like GT Racing on real hardware. Not sure if this issue is exclusive to Bluestacks or if it's due to a corruption in the apk I used; I remember trying to run GT Racing on a different emulator (I don't know if it was the same apk used here), and in that case, the audio worked like expected; however, the visuals were all over the place, with disappearing cars, assets, artifacting, etc. I'm sure it can run properly somehow, I just have to find a solution for it.

the furais sound in asphalt 8 was actually taken from the team nfs rx8 in shift 2, whereas the sound in a9 is completely their own sound (i think)
