I like to call this strat "The Space Shuttle". Takes a long time at age 1, but when it launches, you fly up to the stars (or rather ELO ladder) with your eco.
Guess who is happy to see Ethiopia in a match? ME Loved the british deck, finally someone shipped GMT, i've been using it a lot and i am glad to see that it gets some recognition
16:07 that is what you could call extremely bad control of artillery. a deserved loss by eutopia. apart from that i noticed that he still had the rally point on his war camp set to kynesie's base even though the attack was already over. he lost at least one batch for nothing. mistakes like that add up.
i think africa civs are really strong for 1v1, but at the same time they are the hardest civs to play, you have the worst of all civs, 4th resource to manage in influence like asian civs, but its even worse because with export you can just let it build up overtime, with influence you have to macro for it. you also have unique buildings like the universities/mountain monasteries similar to native american civs have fire pits. all of the bad mechanics and not much reward makes people not want to play africa civs.
They're definitely early-to-mid-game civs. You can go fast fortress to get the shadow-tech upgrades on your mercenaries and natives and dive in with that mass. I've found moderate success with this strategy and if my initial mass dies I call the GG because I've not invested in any upgrades for my normal units and I don't have the time to raise influence.
4:20 ethiopia and hausa are just too similar and although they have a ton of unit options, unique units, cool age ups, every hausa and ethiopia game feels similar. plus we don't see a based cattle boom on the cattle focused civs, people rather just spam whatever slum the age ups give :(
In my opinion, it's hard to outboom a civ that reaches industrial in around 10 minutes with 43 vills since minute 6. I think the answer is to force the Brit player to stay in Age 2 where they are obviously the weakest. Having 200 pop early on means you can't prevent them from shipping units, so your best bet is to force them to stay in an age where their unit shipments are the weakest. This means no Gentlemen of the Pike, no 2 falcs, no 3 rockets, no Queen's Rangers... etc. Remember that they will be mining for their Age-ups, having already chopped for all that wood.

Alternative title for the video : Go Go Roger's Rangers !
Genius!
the organ guns doing nothing made me cry
My age 1 brits had GMT as a staple in most maps. Wait until people start synergizing with the faster researching techs on the euro natives as well
That build order is the new meta with brits, very strong.

Kynesie shouldve powermoved and sent Terraced Houses, for more vils
Cant miss your video
Hello Lionheart, I am here to tell you that your whole community feels neglected by not having you upload a Inca Tupac revolt video yet

Whats the counter to this strat?
Hard age 3 timing or lots of cav raiding...full water boom too probs
That seems a bit too powerful, how could you counter it? outbooming?

I don't mean to be rude, he said God save the Queen, a bit late for that one, she no longer with us... God save the King now
He could be referring to the first Queen Elizabeth, as she is the AI personality for the British in AOE3.
You're right, It's just so hard to shake saying King now lol
@lionheart9015 I know what u meant... was pulling ur leg. Honestly love ur content, I try to keep up with it religiously.

it is not 'Grenich' card. it is Green~ the color. Greenwich. Now read it slowly and pronounce it correctly :P
I can safely say that I am right (for once) on this one lol
I don’t like to watch African civs becuase they aren’t included in the base game, so I don’t own them.
🤣🤣🤣
Brokennnn strategy.
