Like in that one misión where in the briefing they just say trigger looks combat ready or when bandog remarks how he’s protecting his squad despite all being convicts. You can kind of assume his personality just from that, the rest is for the player to interpret

There's even an additional mission of Mobius 1 that takes place in 2014, which is the vr missions, to think of trigger and Mobius 1 existing CANONICALLY in one game, makes the headcanon of trigger receiving skills from Mobius 1 valid
I am glad that the universe finally acknowledged how the protagonists are out there winning wars by themselves. Although I guess that happens at the end of every game since 4, at the start of Operation Katina in 5 and in cutscenes.
They should've picked up on it in AC 4 at the very least, Mobius One did like the exact same thing in 4 and Katina (Blow Megalith, Beat unmanned X-02's) as Phoenix/Scarface one in AC 2 (Blow up fortress Intolerance, Beat ZoE unmmaned ADF-01 Falken's) And it's only a short gap between the two pilots' rampages

After playing through most of the other ace combat games I feel that they are giving trigger a lot more love than the other characters and idk if I should be happy or not cause I fuck wit trigger but I also fuck wit Blaze, Cypher, and Mobius 1
Blaze got the same love of his team mates, after all it was the razgrizs that ended the war and for me is okay. Cypher is a legendary mercenary that stopped the V2 and disappear without trace. Mobius 1 is the strongest pilot in the ISAF forces and he always appear in Ace Combat to destroy Erusea Shit. HE is like "I want to kill Chaos" but switch Chaos with Erusea.
Don't forget the fact that Trigger received personality traits. It is stated in the game that he is aggressive and hot-headed pilot, always the first to enter combat. And that he doesn't speak much, but that was probably just trolling the muteness of all AC protagonists.
Honestly this was a pretty banger DLC it was meta for acknowledging the "stick with trigger" but it did it subtle enough where it's not an annoying commentary type deal and also expanded alot with all his allies and their absolute respect for him
Something about Japanese game devs…I dunno if it’s the cultural difference or what but they take things that would be corny if done by western talent and make it totally significant
I think it's the fact that they have confidence in their own material. A lot of corny stuff in western stuff is when, say, a quip is said but it's more for the audience than for the story. A huge fair share of banter in AC7 is just to butter the player up, but it's all written taking individual character personalities into account as well as in response to what your actions are as the player. They're corny, but they're in-character. I think that's the big difference. Compare this to, say, the cup noodle ad placement in FFXV. It's corny as hell because it doesn't make ANY narrative sense. It's there for money.
I recently just purchased the maverick ultimate edition which includes the season pass. And man what a final mission, like it's literally feel like a whole different game because the way our squadron response. I had a feeling in the next game our squadron will have their moments and maybe care about us the mc and player
I want a future game to have trigger as a protagonist again, or to have him as a kind of Pixy 2, electric boogaloo, wishing to succeed from this world with the people who he once called Comrades.

I mean look at the other games. It really isn't. It got so annoying by the end. When Mihaly told HQ "Seems like your pilot is also alone." and HQ goes "Look around, he's not alone..." I literally almost jumped into the game and said "No. He's right." I have never felt so ALONE, than in Ace 7. Not even Ace04 made you feel this way. It's awful.
have you played project wingman? it's still got a bit of puffing up of the player character but it feels somewhat less obnoxious than in Ace 7, and it doesn't quite give that heroic happy ending
Project Wingman has that perfect AI teammates They actually help out taking down targets which also gives the player lesser score but counts as well And having WSO that talks in our stead is cool compared to Trigger and his mute WSO brother

How tho? This type of cutscenes that I really want to watch in Ace combat game. A nerd/character that know stuff what's up, talk and praise our characters
TRiggeR would have been actually interesting if he/she committed Sacrifice for a greater cause 🙄
He. You can see his reflection during an earlier cutscene. And he didn't need a sacrifice, he literally changed the way the war was going. That's enough.
And later proved that he is innocent
Really hope they chill on the narcissistic ego stroking in Ace 8. Seriously, dial it down a little Project Aces.
Ace 04, being the last member of your squad and earning a name for yourself before restoring the Mobius Squadron whole.
Ace 5, sharing the glory with your squadmates. The Aces of Razgriz. The best crew in the franchise. Edge, Chopper, Archer, Snow
Ace 0 being the Demon Lord (but you don't care because your mind is on Pixy). With fallen enemies reflecting on their personal view of you.
Ace 6, representing a Nation...Flying with the Angels. The pride of an entire country.
Ace 7... freaking, "Stay back Drake 1, just leave it to Trigger..." "Urgh, I can't even get close. Gotta just depend on Trigger." "Trigger you're our only hope." "A beacon of lig..." CHILL the fuck out... fuck... lol... Have some class. No more of this crap pleeeease.
I don't want to be so good at something other people feel powerless in the face of me. That my teammates literally told each other, all Aces themselves mind you, "you're just going to get in Trigger's way" is just... bullshit. That's not what Ace Combat is about. I mean look at the other games. It really isn't. It got so annoying by the end.
When Mihaly told HQ "Seems like your pilot is also alone." and HQ goes "Look around, he's not alone..." I literally almost jumped into the game and said "No. He's right." I have never felt so ALONE, than in Ace 7. Not even Ace04 made you feel this way. It's awful.
i really just wanna tell Mihaly i am fighting alone, Strider and Cyclops aint doing anything AT ALL
have you played project wingman? it's still got a bit of puffing up of the player character but it feels somewhat less obnoxious than in Ace 7, and it doesn't quite give that heroic happy ending
Project Wingman has that perfect AI teammates
They actually help out taking down targets which also gives the player lesser score but counts as well
And having WSO that talks in our stead is cool compared to Trigger and his mute WSO brother
But its great. Its great for ego boosting-espescially if you're new. It was my first entry game, I'd never felt so alive. xD
I kinda liked getting my ego stroked intensely, but yeah I agree, your allies are just talking puppets, they do nothing.
