Peter Sagan a grand tour contender? Are they on crack?! Peter Sagan is perfect for the points classification and stage wins and of course the classics especially the monuments. I'd love to see him win either San Remo, Flanders, or Roubaix in that rainbow jersey. That would be awesome!
if he loses those 10 kilos he would lose much of his explosiveness and power in his legs. he is pretty damn lean as it is and I think he is way more fun to watch the way he is right now and not change any of his traits. he is a powerful rouleur/puncheur with incredible sprinting power and technical bike handling skills. That's what makes him so prolific and fun. If he were to become a grand tour contender he would have to be more robotic and boring and conservative like the other GC contenders. I hope that he never even thinks of doing that.
yes, I agree.. with almost everything.. except one.. when he will be 30+ y.o. and will fight quintana /or other actual great hill riders/ at mont ventoux.. it wouldnt be boring, believe me ;) anyway, this is strongly hypothetical :D ...I cant wait spring classics ;) I believe in two monuments ;)
Pro mě osobně je to nejlepší sportovec světa a hlavně je mi velice sympatický i lidsky. Doufám, že o něm ještě dlouho budeme slýchat jako teď a snad i ČR bude mít jednou takovou legendu, ale doufám, že ne brzy, protože si pár let chci ještě užívat vítězství Sagana.
