Just makes me laugh... various builders doing vanilla stuff saying "well, it's vanilla so that's as good as it gets" and then you see what can actually be done. Maestro!
Vanilla is underrated, you can build much faster and actually focus on making an functioning city. Modded cities look cool but they take years to finish
@@olltraexceptionalcommentor7736 ...Faster? I understand your point, but that's assuming you don't primarily use mods to essentially speed up vanilla-like builds.
@@magnushmann In vanilla you zone buildings, which means you can grow multiple cityblocks in a few seconds. In modded you place them manually using find-it, which can take time. Maybe it's personal but I find to be too slow to make any substantial progress in a short amount of time which I need to keep going on a city
@@olltraexceptionalcommentor7736Well, that's assuming you even use that mod AND even if you do, that you use it that way for your specific play style. You can still zone buildings, even if you want access to be able to plop buildings yourself too. Again, I understand that you are referring to a particular type of modded play style, and sorry for being pedantic, but to me it just does not make much sense to say modded C:S is either slower or faster, because it depends entirely on which mods you run and how you use them.
I usually zone make it a specific district then use move it to place the buildings how I want

Interestingly, you put the power plant where i assumed the skyline would end up being. I wonder where Last Angeles' downtown is going to be!

Dude how are you so good at just seeing how to lay things out, I load into a game and MY MIND GOES BLANK I don't know where to start what to Invision the land is typically uneven the slopes throw me off, temperate maps have nasty yellowish sand that outlines everything, it's a nightmare! PLEASE show how you'd do a vanilla build on a base map like Black Woods or Cliffside Bay maybe even Green Plain

@@RobertDoornbosF1 I specifically want to see it on a base map and how he'd go about working it's landscape. It's a bit different watching a tip video then trying to apply it to the disgusting maps I'm stuck with
I recommend using google earth as a inspiration and try to rebuild stuff there with the limited amount of assets and you‘ll get creative:D
Fantastic work. The power plant looks great, as does the highway. The only thing I'll knock on this is that culdesac. No matter what, in vanilla, it just doesn't look good.
