No cap this show is so good and pure I almost cried at the end of this episode
After catching up to the manga, I genuinely cannot wait to see the anime do the manga so much justice in the future. This arc in the manga was sweet, but the anime bodied it. The rest of the series is going to be spectacular.

No wonder Komi san are not popular in Japan , even though author himself are Japanese . The reason they separate female player and male player in shogi , also Go (囲碁) games because the strength gap . Don't shout everything are racist and sexist when you are not hardworking enough . Let me use one good example , do you know Rina Fujisawa , one of the few female player can beat 9-dan Male player in GO game. Even in chess world , only few female player can beat high ranking male player in the world .

i mean yeah that's true even in chess we know who are the top players, but she isn't being sexist or act like she being discriminated tho she just want to be her grandfather even tho there are no female Shogi Pro yet that can reach her granfather's level, well she admires him so much which probably made her discouraged sometimes and almost gave up and stop playing, that's why she admires the other girl that doesn't give up on her hobby, as we also know Yo Yo is even a more tough ground for female cuz like any other sports, the top players are males too.
And yes there are Female Vs Male in Shogi but again it doesn't matter in the end the better one wins, but history proves that male shogi players is just winning.
She also say like "Men or women doesn't matter i will reach my grandfather's place, my admiration won't stop" she basically saying that whatever happened she won't stop playing shogi, she will reach the level of her grandfather even tho she is a female, it's nothin sexist just a confession of her commitment.
But if you saying the reactors and viewers yeah i think they misinterpreted it Or the subtitle are kinda misleading, because she herself say that the gap in Strength is so big, she never said she get discriminated because she is a female, but the strength gap between female nand male is just diffrent.
This is also probably the reason why many people are having a misconcept about equality i mean equality just doesn't exist in Biology that's just how it is.

Do u even know how popular Komi-san manga before anime ? And we fans begging for anime adapt for 2 years just to see her in animation,if a series gets an anime adapt means the manga/LN is popular .
