I started watching "The Squad" back in the fs17 days and I have to say that it's awesome to see where you have made it today. Hope your first year of farming treats you right. I hope to be there someday.
Good job grant. I’ve been watching the sqaud channel for along time and never though that I would see you farming on your own farm in real life. Looking good.
A few years back, my dad decided to burn down the backyard. So we were making sure everything was under control, and my brother and I had some rakes. We ran around in the yard and drug the rakes over the yard and made huge dust clouds. I had rubber-soled shoes on and ended up burning a hole in the bottom of them. My parents were NOT happy when I came in. These are the kind of memories you only get on a farm. Thanks for reminding me of how lucky I am to live on a farm Grant!
What you called problems was just a learning curve... I am not a farmer but in my life's experience Farmers are the most knowledgeable and helpful people are earth Great video thanks for sharing
Sorry I'm late bruh! I was at work all day! I am a diesel mechanic! Thanks for another great video! btw... I actually figured that that was a EM leak! I've gotten a lot of experience... Cuz when it is at an idle, it doesn't have enough pressure to blow off exhaust... but when you slam it into high rpm, the pressure from the engine is adding extra pressure to the EM pushing the EM off its seat! This is similar to the 6.0 Powerstroke. The head bolts stretch, the pressure pushes the head off its seat and leads the blowing the head gasket! Thanks for inspiring so many people! Especially me!
Woohoo you go Grant, your livin the dream!! Just imagine in about 3 yrs or so u can look back on these videos and see how far your farms have come!!! GOD Bless bud and wish you and your family and your crops the very best!!! You got this!! Your first planting season leeetttssss gooooo!!!!
I love how clean most people’s tractors are, our tractors have oil stains, caked with mud 24/7, have coke bottles, water bottles, Gatorade bottles rolling around in the cab all the time
Ye Haw now your Farming . You are so lucky to have so many good neighbors . Folks that are interested in seeing you be successful . That is because you have a good re-pore with folks . That burn was a great call man look at that ground beautiful . Cultivator is working great . Shout out to your Dad for doing so much to help and yes lets not forget Spencer .
I know that feeling Grant, the look of anticipation to getting out in the field. Thirty years from now you will still have the same feeling. Farming is in the blood and for most people, it will never go away. It is such a joy watching this young man doing what he loves. Funny, Grant went from Farming Simulator to the real thing and I went from the real thing to Farming Simulator. Grant is a young man with a great desire to farm, me, an old man with a great desire to farm and my body can't. My best to you Grant.
Keep up the outstanding work. Today all around me many farmer's and me and my family start feild work to! I enjoy seeing what others use for feild work! Be safe with farming and have a good one!YEEYEE
Has anyone else noticed how clean and manicured they're hands are????????? Still the videos are a bit of fun and I am learning a little about farming in Iowa.
Hi Grant, I love your videos I have watched your channel since the old beast of prey days you are my biggest inspiration .we have a very poor farm in Wrightsville Georgia and we run 4000 john deere and have a 4 row planter and a 1 row corn picker we have experienced a drought recently and don't have a irrigation this year we got one but are ground is too hard to plant and you make me happy so i just have to say thank you. Love the channel you work so hard . we also ordered a mf-111 Kubota but it wont be here until June 11. but I'm not asking for money just so you know.
when tilling , most of the time you wanna work an angle in the fall, then a straight line for the spring, so the planter has a nice smooth ride. i know you said you probably won’t be able to work it in the fall , but just some extra knowledge
My wife's second grade class all respond to the question of what do you want to be when you grow up with "a TH-camr". Hopefully some young kids out there will see this "TH-camr" who wants to be a farmer and get inspiration and see there are other things out there than fame to make you happy and provide for yourself and family.
We have a 1997 John Deere 8300 and we swapped all the lights to led and I would recommend getting tiger light led lights for that tractor and for a combine I would recommend a 9770
my dream is to start a farm for my family and for my future generations of family, i didnt think it was possible until you new channel thanks grant for the farm sim and the real world advice and experience
u should try going to those coffee places and get them to give u the used coffee beans (free if possible) on a weekly basis collected and use it to give nitrogen to the soils (just a sprinkle will do). Works great to up the nitrogen levels.
Have the same tractor it's pretty common for them to leak diesel out of the exhaust manifold just builds up in the manifold when the idle alot nothing to worry about
He looks like a kid on Christmas he looks so happy to be living the dream
ya he does
Lol yea
lol
YOUR EYES
There’s nothing like watching this man in school

Go Grant go! Your Dad, Spence, and some help from a neighbor. That's what it's all about. Great video!
When he started walking through the grass my mind was like “SNAKE”

It is like that one friends minivan.
That just has everything imaginable. toys, water bottles, maps, soccer balls, etc.
Welcome to farming. You are learning quick that nothing ever goes right there always something that needs addressing
You've taken on a massive endeavor, but I'm sure you know what you're doing. Best of luck to you. I'll be watching.
I’m so exited to see you start farming. I want to be like you when I grow up!
For no-till conditions you really need row-cleaners they help move trash out of the way and help the seed to get to 2 inches
So happy for you grant I'm glad your making your dreams come true!
I’m hooked watching, love your positive attitude and good luck with everything.
I have loved your farm sim vid since I was 6 and I can’t wait to see your farm grow. Love your vid and keep the continent coming. 🙂
Continent? As in groups of countries?

That fire was really efficient
U should try to get like 2 or three go pros and put one in the tractor and one on the back of it then the other one could be backup or for whatever
u should try going to those coffee places and get them to give u the used coffee beans (free if possible) on a weekly basis collected and use it to give nitrogen to the soils (just a sprinkle will do). Works great to up the nitrogen levels.
