Great intro video; I am definitely hooked! One thing about the breakdown of Established International FAs that you changed from 99% Mexico - I think that's because the game removes countries when you add their major league to the game, since in your game players from Cuba/Korea/Japan/Taiwan/etc could be available via the posting system which the International FAs tries to recreate for the base game. In my sim (without any added leagues), the mix is already the default breakdown that you switched yours to.
@@BestAvailablePlayer Know I'm late to the ballgame, but this on FA is true. Sure you thought on it later on in this series. I now and then don't add the Cuban League and have those It FA come from Cuba as defected ones paddling across to Florida. Or else I think you never get any Cuban if not tampering with that league to also produce FA in that leagues setup. The way you got this running from this episode you end up with Japanese stars from their league AND some weird boys that never played in any Nippon League. Like finding a golden nugget in your backyard. The Int Amateur FA are those young kids popping up from mostly Latin American countries. Looking forward to catch up with your save.
I really enjoyed your thorough explanation of all the options in OOTP 22 and your reasoning for choosing each. The only suggestion I would make is remove the DH from the AL too. Quite interested to see how the year's game plays out in your future videos.

I’d probably say to trade Story. I don’t see this team being able to compete during his window of production. And then you can save all of that money to invest in other areas.
Given that Raimel Tapia is Dominican his name pronounced in Spanish is “rye-male (which you said correctly) tah-pyah. Both names have first syllables stressed over the second. Great series.
IMO, there are quite a few specific tutorials out there regarding all the different facets of the game, but there are no/very few tutorials for people who are looking to jump into the franchise for the first time. Take me for example: I played Madden and NBA 2Kxx. Franchise mode is trash, though the NBA is at least decent. So even though i'm not the biggest fan of MLB (I watch all of Jomboys stuff), I'm willing to get into it in order to play the OOTP series. But after watching a few tutorial videos, i still feel totally lost. Something like a "OOTP 22 for dummies!" or "So you want to run your own team?" and start from the beginning, giving an overview of how everything works would be awesome
I think you should trade Story for a great package. Is what the Rockies needs in real life. Rockies aren't ready to compete. Tank a little, develop some players, etc
I agree with you Santi. Get as much as you can for Story,. I'd wait till the trade deadline and try to get what I could from a team with a good farm system. If the team is in contention (which I doubt they will be), I'd consider keeping him and make a run at it.
Why wouldn't you keep the goals on, that would surely be part of any managers contract in real life, in order to get another contract you would have to achieve certain goals.
