Frankenmuth Michigan Travel Guide: Best Hotels, Activities, Restaurants & more!

Frankenmuth, also known as Michigan's Little Bavaria, is a charming small town popular for its Bavarian inspired architecture, unique attractions, and fun events. After touring here at least a dozen times, I give my ultimate guide of Frankenmuth and what to not miss! First I discuss Bavarian Inn Restaurant, which is home of the world's famous chicken dinner. I go over the unique shops and bakery inside. Then I jump over river and further discuss Bavarian Inn Lodge which is an amazing hotel and water park that is soon getting an upgrade! I give a sneak peak into the new water park,Bavarian Blast, and show the huge arcade, putt putt and charming pools. I also have another video all on this hotel that I will link below for you if you want more details. Then I discuss Zehnder's of Frankenmuth which also has a family style chicken dinner and shop and an incredible water park hotel. This water park is my family's favorite water park in Michigan and we are excited to see if Bavarian's new water park beats it out of first place. I also have an entire video on this. Of course, we shop at Bronner's which is the largest Christmas store in the world!!! And is open year round. I walk around River Place Shops which is an outdoor dog friendly mall, discuss the ice skating rink, river boat and explore the down town shops and Frankenmuth Brewery. Lastly, I check out Birch Run which is the neighboring town to Frankenmuth and has a zoo, outlet mall, hotels and restaurants as well. There is a reason Frankenmuth has over 3 million tourists a year. If you have any questions, feel free to comment. great video. The one thing that should be mentioned is other than Christmas time the best time to go to Frankenmuth is during their annual Bavarian festival weekend in June. Its been running since 1959 and is now a 4 day event with a street party on Saturday and parade on Sunday. They set up a massive tent in the park where the beer and polka music are plentiful for the entire festival.

Yes!! We went for the first time last year and as soon as we got there it started down pouring so we ended up playing inside Bavarian Inn. Thanks for the info. I will have to go back this year. Sounds like so much fun!
