@Craigw.Moritz Stephanie Lynn Nicks attended Arcadia High-School during her Sophomore & Junior years from 1964 to 1965. It was at Arcadia High-School where she met her best friend Robin Snyder. It's also where she formed her folk rock band The Changing Times. She transferred up north to the bay area and attended Menlo-Atherton High School in the middle of her Junior year. It was during her Senior year she met Lindsey Buckingham who was a Junior, when they both attended an after-school function where they spent the afternoon harmonizing The Momas & Papas song 'California Dreaming'. In October 2006, Stevie attended the Arcadia High-School class of 1966 40th reunion at the Westin Hotel in Pasadena ...

They were good and were on the bands biggest selling albums for sure but the ten years the band was around prior to their involvement were stellar. That greatness is what laid the foundation those girls built upon. There are so many songs from their beginnings other bands have covered and people don't even know or realize they are Fleetwood Mac songs

But, one of the coolest things was, i went to the renaissance fair with this friend of mine once who looked just like Stevie, with her, and Stevie's mom! (and some guy i'm assuming was her assistant) She was very cool, and must have been wearing one of Stevie's dresses. It sure looked like it. The flowy type she always wore. That will always be such a great memory. She was very sweet. RIP Barbara.

I can relate. I am 65 and nostalgic memories occupy most of my waking thoughts and moments. Every song I hear from the 60's or the 70's reminds me of a particular day or moment in time with friends and/or family!! If I'm not on the Internet, -(You Tube, mostly)- I am listening to Classic Rock 24/7 !! I also suffer from anxiety, racing thoughts and insomnia !! One thing that helps me overcome it is heavy metal, for some reason !! Especially Metallica !!! I found an almost 4 hour long audio/video playlist of Metallica's best albums in an all instrumental version on TH-cam Music that I play to help me fall asleep !!!

When I saw her live with FM in the eighties, she went an octave lower on the choruses of her earlier songs to save her voice for the later, more intense ones. She ruined "Rhiannon" and a few others. "Stand Back" was great.

Honestly, everyone, this video was first uploaded 13 years ago!
And, it’s making a return that really has reignited just how incredible Stevie Nicks IS, even today over 40 years since the video was made! Her voice is so unique! Her typical performances on stage with her flowing lace outfits were a VERY essential part of what made her a one of a kind. Fleetwood Mac, would have never risen to the stature it attained without her.
Yes, I’m a guy, and the title saying she was in a mini skirt got my attention. However, in the end I could have cared less about the skirt! To hear her unusual vibrato voice is absolutely captivating. She ruled the stage… that’s all that mattered.

It isnt all about range, it is about the FEELING, songwriting, stage presence, etc. Stevie always gets to me emotionally, maybe its the songwriting or the vibrato...and that angel face.
