The Just For Me prepoo recently had a formula change and that bumped it down from HG status for my hair. The ingredient list is the same, but they added more water to the product because it was definitely runnier and does not perform like it used to. I might try the African Pride one instead.

I have both products and I have compared them too. I had to same experience as you, I didn’t feel any difference during/after application. Though I’d add that I prefer the scent of JFM, but the AP has a smoother finish and doesn’t dry out as sticky as the JFM. But benefits wise, they’re the same to me 🤷🏾♀️

After finally getting my hands on the AP, I wasn't impressed and actually stopped applying it and switched to something else to finish my hair. Not sure if its because I used it on soaking wet hair but it just felt like my hair was sticking to itself and creating tangles that weren't there to begin with. Seeing your application process, I will give it another try using your method but I'm going to look for the JFM product as my hair reacts well to Marshmallow Root and Honey from a detangling perspective.

I found them mainly at my local beauty supply stores. My Wal-Mart doesn't carry them in store and it's almost double the price online plus shipping. I think House of Beauty sales it for $5-$6 plus shipping but they may have a promo for 20%.

Hey Diane, so to me they feel and work the same but I know some do prefer one over the other. As far as rinsing out, both leave my hair super moisturized. There is like a little bit of film or like a cast left but I mean you are going to wash your hair anyways so it goes away once you do. I hope that helps 💕
