What an awesome line up ! No I didn’t realize the crash test dummies were a special episode either. This is so cool. I added it to my history so I can finish it after everyone goes to bed in a bit.
1991-1996 are probably the absolute peak years of children’s television. X-Men, Spider-Man, Batman, Power Rangers, Sonic, Ninja Turtles, Nicktoons, Pete & Pete, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Eerie Indiana, plus reruns of the best stuff from the mid-to-late 80s like GI Joe, Ghostbusters, Transformers, He-Man. Then all the syndicated stuff like Mighty Max, Beast Wars, EXO Squad. Dragon Ball Z was syndicated in my market during that time, a couple years before it appeared on Cartoon Network. It was kind of the sweet spot where the deregulation of the 80s turning cartoons into 30-minute toy commercials (which were better than the cartoons pre-deregulation in my opinion) had enough time to perfect their formulas of merging 30-minute toy commercials with pure entertainment and you had an influx of creativity with new children’s programming that had no toys to sell and were just trying to compete for kids’ attention (like everything on Nickelodeon).
The quality of these videos are awesome! Haven't seen this crisp videos for ages. Thank you for showing the quality as we saw it back in the days. It's hard to find old videos that aren't compressed so much they are always pixelated
I remembers Biker Mice from Mars when i first watched as a kid back in 1994. I know they also did the second reboot but I still prefer their original characters designs but I still wished this whole Series has finally released onto the complete DVD collection at last. I'm hoping that Discotek Media since they have released past cartoon/anime series onto SDBD Blu-ray just like Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Sharks and now Extreme Dinosaurs.
I literally go into a time portal when I watch these episodes with commercials. So much has changed rite before our eyes. I'm 35 now and it just don't seem that long ago
Yeah, my life was moving too fast for me to realize I was wasting it. These last years have been my worst in my life, but it changed me in a good way. I opened my eyes and account for every moment not so much on time well spent or not, just aware. I'm trying to bring this all back in 2024, but the masses are still in a rush like a Wal-Mart BlackFriday opening. I am using digital television using a small amplifier and Bunny Ears Antenna. I also post clips on TH-cam along with TikTok. Watching myself become "a-boomer" I feel kept me from having a mid-life crisis. I must own it and move on. I see I have everything I wanted when I was younger, I'm also realizing I did have enough to be productive when I was younger. I can edit whole videos just using my phone, start posting clips, start making movies or short or animation or blogs, or vlogs, in a sense we are all news reporters.
did you digitally add the film effects to the animation on sonic and biker mice from mars i ahd an old vhs of these kind miss them a lot thank ya very much for posting them here, but i do see it could have been the vhs too ours did that to some recordable tapes too m8, it is all good but man i remember some episodes back in 91 as early back then i think they were testing out the demographic i sure loved the series oh thank ya again m8 this rules, too abd they werent in staticy analog too well rabbit ears tv hehe
Was ads just after the title credits a normal thing in America? The cartoon has barely started before they're shoveling products in your faces. Not sure if the UK was the same, at least I can't remember. But I'm pretty confident that you'd get a mid roll at most for kids TV here. Great video though. Very interesting
I know you posted this comment a month ago, but yeah it was totally normal. Average runtime of a Saturday morning cartoon was usually 30 mins, but sometimes but rarely 60 mins. Usually out of a 30 min runtime 15 mins of that was commercials. It was super common to run the title sequence and then cut to ads. We got hammered with everything we could possibly want to ask our parents for lol.
Blasphemy!!!! Eek the Cat and thunder lizards gave OG Ren and Stimpy a run for the money random chaos wise. The insanity of those shows was a true inspiration to us children of the early 90"s who previously knew of Nickelodeon Loony Tunes and Hanna-Barbara's Captain Cave man. Truly great memories. Also, Xuxa was hot🤤
dude, did you really need the vhs artifacting through EVERYTHING?! when it came legit through a tape, its one thing, but a digital recreation effect which is the same effect over and over doesn't convince me it's real tracking issue.
makes you wonder if linmburger had all that energy and tech to be hunting down the biker mice and trying to take over the earth for the iron, why not mine the nearby asteroids by mars to dd mass and volume to mars alltogether just greedy lazyness for a villain of course,.

Man, the incredible crash dummies-that's a show someone could run by themselves in Blender with free software.
Seeing these shows and TV commercials again in your mid 30s is wild. It's all coming back haha
Love that we have the opportunity to watch these again and in such good quality! Thank you!!
What an awesome line up !

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!
These commercials were a lost art form! Awesome that we can see them again! Grew up with WB and Fox kids.

My vision of jtt playing a live action version of mighty max after he did lion king never came true. Who will be the mighty one before I die?
Is that voice Jaleel White??
