- This was our third attempt, and we finally succeeded, bringing tears to our eyes. Shri Ram's horoscope is the first one taught to students when they begin learning astrology.However, it is no longer part of the curriculum, and until now, no competent authority had commented on Shri Ram's horoscope. For the first time since the 1980s, Shri K N Rao discusses Shri Ram's horoscope and the controversies surrounding his chart. He reveals such subtle points that even those with 20 years of experience in astrology will need significant time to fully grasp. We are incredibly proud; after three visits to Delhi for this purpose, it has finally happened.
It feels like a lifetime achievement award to have Shri Rao discuss Shri Ram's horoscope and then Lord Krishna's horoscope. This is Part 1 of a series, presented in its unedited version, in the natural settings of his house.

This is an amazing series especially getting Shri K N Rao to talk for so long! This is true Gold Dust; thank you Sunil! Most of the Sadhus don't speak so much but we are lucky (because of you Sunil) that Shri K N Rao agreed to speak.
Also let me point out this series where Shri K N Rao speaks- true indicator of a great Sadhu and true personification/live example of Ketu in 12 house placement + other exalted placements in Shri K N Rao's chart.....however people should not apply the principles and hints given by Shri K N Rao recklessly in this video; but should use it to deepen their research and study of the subject of Astrology+Astronomy and use it judiciously......I see many people today reading a few books and calling themselves astrologers and fooling people this should stop as this can create lots of misunderstandings and fears in peoples minds. As rightly pointed by Shri K N Rao he did not give direct answer to violent death indications etc....but gave enough hints....as he pointed out this would create 'morbid fears' in people's minds....

My saturn is in 4 th house and i started my life in saturn mahadasha. so at 10 years of old i seperated from home for schooling in a faraway city. It is not bad because that is why i gain so many things in my life.
Humble obeisances to Guruji Sh. KN Rao. Adding something to what he has mentioned in this conversation is like showing a candle to the Sun but Saturn in 8th from Sun will be retrograde (may be Jupiter too). Results will change. The life of Lord Rama was full of challenges (Kantaka Shani), yet he remained Maryada Purushottama (morally upright).
I visit this legendary astrologer in 29 January 1998 in Delhi and this day is become precious in every year when I feel great happiness in this memories.
Rama took birth due to learn (experience karma). Krishna was born to teach karma yoga(Bhagavad Gita). Obviously Rama was serious and Krishna was smiling.

i tried calculating approximate dasha during the vanvas, and it might have been budh dasha as well. initial 4 years of jupiter dasha (max). 19 yrs of saturn dasha after it. and exile after the marrige. which should be mercury dasha. 12th lord and 3rd lord in 10th house aspecting saturn in 4th. lots of travel and away from home and troubles. makes sense.

Im a big fan of Rao Sir. Just wanted to share which I had discussed abt Sri Rama's born in thithi... Just a thought about it.
Sri Rama was born in punarvasu star and Navami thithi.
Though Sun is exahalted not meeting the thithi calculation. Points to be considered here is
1) Chaitra masa in Hindu calender starts on Ugadi, this is in end of Uttarabhadra nakshatra most of the time, But the Sun may be in Exhalted state or would be in end of Meena. But calendar thithi may vary.
Sri Rama was born in Treta yuga and there will be ayanamsha calculation difference has to be applied from Treta yuga till date causing the calculation difference of placement of planet and thithi

Ashwini Gautam,Have no fears pls.Your 7th Lord is well placed in 4th Hse-It is a Positive indication.But you have also to see The Aspect and The Nakshatra in which 7th Lord is placed. It is a Negative thing to have MARS Nakshatra Of the 7th Lord-This is as per Editor of The Magazine -MODERN ASTROLOGY-G D VASUDEV.
There is an important point of discussion in the video(23:38) "Exalted Mars in Makara and Exalted Jupiter in Karka gives exemplary moral conduct”.
We can further analyze this combination in this way:
• Jupiter denotes, knowledge, wisdom, magnanimity and ethics.
• Mars is energy.
• Moral conduct means applied wisdom.
Thus, when both the planets are in their exaltation and in mutual aspects, naturally it will generate Moral conduct. However, we need to verify this with respect to
(a) Placement of these planets and
(b) Ownership of the houses
As, we scrutinize this dictum through different lagnas, we find the following :
In every lagna, except Meena Lagna, Jupiter or Mars either placed in or have lordship over a trik house.
In Meena Lagna; the combination takes place in 5th and 11th house and Jupiter is lord of 1 and 10th (Kendra) exalted in 5th house, a trine. Mars lord of 9th a trine, exalted and placed in 11th. Neither of them owns any of the three trik houses (6, 8 or 12)

I have this question. Lord Rama had sun exalted but had to go through vanavas before pattabhisheka. Lord Krishna had moon in Rohini but didn't get the love of his parents as child and had to leave his loved ones back at vrindavan as adult. What is the lesson we should learn from an astrological viewpoint?

I also have this saturn in the 4th and it aspects my moon and lagna, making me unconcerned with worldly life. So don't feel too bad. Fortunately i could go with this and pursue spiritual life in earnest from an early age.
Btw my daughter however has 5 planets exalted or in own sign., and one that isn't in own sign is raj yoga (fifth lord in 7th with exalted lord of house).. also, in D9 Lagna and 5 planets are vargottama . She's such a strong willed creature there has never been any disciplining of her. Maybe the vargottama sun in Leo.. headstrong and bossy haha.
