    Breath of the Wild is an amazing game... Why didn't anyone tell me?
    I stream on both at the same time:
    / mmob
    / @mmobstreams
    I avoided Breath of the Wild on release as I wasn't enjoying exploration games and also I didn't own a switch (oops).
    This changed in 2021 where I got a switch but I still avoided the Zelda franchise cause I thought it wasn't for me and I was never really a fan as I didn't grow up on Nintendo games (except pokemon). I mean there were some rip of versions I played as a kid but they never grabbed me but I barely remember them.
    Flash forward to 2024 where I decide to give it a try for this channel and my god is this a really fun game (why didn't anyone tell me?).
    There's just a lot of things that has made this game really compelling and I'm looking forward to playing more of it which I'll do on stream. (if by magic this video gets popular, by my standards, then I'll probably do a follow up when I'm deeper in the game, or maybe the ending, we'll see).

      Yeah but it feels kinda wrong that he's just pirating it, like watching those girls that stram "just dance" but they're just playing TH-cam videos on their screen. Also, it is shitty and sus that he lies in the description about playing it because he got a switch AND he pretends that he is playing on a switch the entire video. The whole video felt like you were simply verbalizing your natural thoughts as you played the game. You just so happen to be someone who mentally processes the game in a way that is entertaining, no trying required. No fluff, no exaggerated emotions/reactions to things . . . just a dude sharing a natural experience of a video game. So damn refreshing! Looking forward to seeing your other content!

    BotW is already a modern classic, and IMO the cure for many of the modern AAA openworld cancers that have been plaguing the industry for many years. Looking at you, Ubisoft. BUT! It's also good to remember that BotW itself is a HUGE departure from what people would consider the "classic Zelda formula". It does kinda take the series back to its 1986 roots, but it also reinvents a ton of things, resulting one of the most OPEN ended games I know of.
    If you want to have a trip down the memory lane and experience the OTHER GOTYAY masterpieces, Ocarina Of Time (the N64 orignal / PC recomp) is the way to start. You'll be shocked on how much LORE you miss by playing BotW blind, and how much innovation Nintendo poured on their games already 30 years ago.

    Seriously, if this becomes a series I am tuning in every damn week! I'm so invested!
    Edit: also, I can see a few gatekeepers near the bottom of the comments. Don't mind them 😊 Zelda games have changed and come a long way since the first one. I think we'd love to see you give some of them a go at some point. BOTW is very different to some of the old games, which might have come as a dissapointment to some of the more longterm fans after waiting for it for so long. But not all of them 😁 It's a shame it's not everyone's cup of tea but it's every bit a Zelda game as the others, they've just taken a different approach. Some of my favourite content is of this game and it's sequel. It's a new vibe but so much fun!

      This game is my first zelda game, and I still haven't finished it..
      Someone gifted me the game last year, but sadly I lost motivation after getting confused on how to continue. I am not a gamer, and it's something I'm not used to, so it was frustrating to continue when I was slowly getting bored. When I read comments like these ; they're surprising motivating because not everyone was fortunate to grow up with games, and know the mechanics of these type of games, not to mention having the console itself to even play. What might seem like second nature to y'all, it's a thing I have to learn more about, and try out.People can be so rude to newbies, so thanks for the reminder :) I want to try it again, even if I'm still a beginner..

    • @jessicaable5095
      @jessicaable5095 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Ama_tullah hi! 😊 I'm happy it motivated you a bit. I would highly recommend continuing, but don't feel too down if it's still not your thing. As I said, the style of this game isn't everyone's cup of tea. I personally loved it for the exploration and getting to know the world so much that, if suddenly dropped in the middle of it myself, I'd know exactly where to go for supplies, weapons, or safety. I also loved how many ways the game gives you to fight or solve puzzles. It really feels like your own journey and can give you memories of it not every other player will have. I distinctly remember the first time I came across civilization, after about an hour trying to take down the same bokoblin camp and getting chased by a stone talus (big scary rock guy). I felt very much in danger and very much alone. I hadn't seen a soul since the king's ghost sent me on my way and disappeared. For all I knew, the world was empty of anyone but me and I was searching for another ghost. It was night, I crested a hill and heard distant music. I looked down and saw the lights of a village in the valley below me and felt so much relief. I camped underneath three apple trees until morning, because in my mind I thought an adventurer would rest after battle before going forward to reach a distant town. That's one of my favourite memories of the game 😊 and I think it might help you to think of it less like a game and more like a journey you're taking. You don't have to fight every monster or climb every mountain, but your journey will be yours.
      If you give the game another shot, I hope you enjoy it. If not, don't stress about it 😆

    It's probably too late, but I always recommend switching the jump button in the game settings, so B is jump and X is run/cancel. I find it much more natural since so many games have B for jump and Y for attack. I also like Pro mode for the HUD so it only shows hearts on screen.

    Just watching this guy play Breath of the Wild for the first time is surreal... it's been a while since I was new to the game, or played the game at all, and watching this guy play is like reliving playing this game for the first time.

    Hi, I’m [State]. Your [Breath of the Wild] assistant! Ask me anything about the game! I’m happy to provide you with the information you need!
    Here are a couple of none spoiler tips: 1. If you take of your bow while in midair (you need to be falling not just jumping by pressing X) you will then slow down time making it easier to aim a little like flurry rush.
    2. That guardian you saw shoots laser as you may have seen. You can parry those lasers back at them with a shield. Be careful though they can break you shield in one shot if you mess up!
    3. Sell gems they have 2 purposes money and upgrading armour. But you can easily get more by fighting a talus’s (stone giant you died while fighting it).
    Bonus tip: throw remote bombs at the talus. It will make him fall over and let you climb on top to hit the weak point.
    Not sure if you want or can answer this question but are you playing on an emulator? The UI for naming your horse looked a little off.

    It always drives me crazy that they expect you to save the world but they give you raggedy clothes and a stick. And the actual gear you need is conveniently hidden in dungeons all over and each individual piece is guarded by a giant monster.

  • @GamesAndAnimes

    I love "Breath of the Wild" (BotW). In my opinion is the successor "Tears of the Kingdom" (TotK) the much much better game, BUT there is too much stuff in the game, which make the exploration tiring.
    I compare both games this way, BotW is a adventure in a almost untouched nature and TotK is a giant amusement park. Both games fun in there own way. 🙂

    • @justamicrowave5297
      @justamicrowave5297 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think the only thing really wrong with totk is that it’s the same world. I spent hundreds of hours exploring in botw, but i basically only played totk until I beat the game. I feel like if it was a different world I would be more likely to explore or if I had played it first.

    • @GamesAndAnimes
      @GamesAndAnimes 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@justamicrowave5297 I had no problem with the same map. I played BotW normal and in master mode for around 600 hours before I played TotK, 270 hours before I finished that game. I know almost every tiny corner and was very excited how TotK changed those corners. There are many thinks you can find and interact with, so much that a totally other map where you have to familiar first would be hindering. That's why I want to know from someone that did not played BotW first, what there opinions are about TotK and what they think about the map.
      TotK become almost a Ubisoft open world game (minus the markers on the map before you visit those places). On every corner there are one to three things to find, that's makes it tiring to explore the map, but also make it unimportant. That's why the same map is not a problem in my eyes, it became irrelevant. But also the things you can find are very similar and sometimes just copies. The monster fortresses are even all the same in structure and monster placement.
      My recommendation for playing TotK is, just stick to the main quests and some left and right deviations to it, if something looks interesting. No wandering around. The tears collecting in order (there are quest hints to the order) after you finished the other main quests (or the story telling becomes wonky), except the final quest to defeat the main boss.

    I approve that you found Zelda. However, play more of them to get a proper picture. Like skyward sword, oot, spirit tracks, twilight princess, a link between worlds. All of these are vastly different.

    "I'm going to use it to set things on fire" Ah, another journey of lore-accurate Link begins.
    18:15 You joke, but speedruns of this game go immediately from that point to the castle, using some insane physics engine shenanigans. Once you've beaten the game, I recommend seeing some of the speed-runs (or Terminal-Montage's animated mark-up of one of them, which is a pretty solid recreation of the old world record from about 5 years ago)

    literally me right now LOL; going thru a zelda hyperfixation, beat OOT and TP, nearing the end of MM, will likely retry skyward sword when im done with botw because of the horrible controls. absolutely lovely series and its an amazing experience. trying to enjoy it every little bit because i am well aware you only get to get that "first playthrough" experience once. just sad it didn't click with me sooner, i've dabbled in multiple of the titles but never really "invested" into them until recently. 10/10, have also bombed myself multiple times and spent 20 minutes murdering a hinox with the remote bombs :D
