  • K.A was that dude the most celebrated point guard to come from N.Y.C and was one of my favorite players when I was a teenager...College recruiters began scouting Anderson in sixth grade and he was on the front page of the New York City sports section when he was 14 he was a four-time Parade All-American, a feat not accomplished since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar...Anderson set the all-time state record for scoring in New York, with 2,621 points Despite winning the ACC title, they entered the NCAA tourney as only a 4 seed. They proceeded to sweep through a Shaq led LSU team and two Big 10 teams on their way to the Final Four. Georgia Tech's tournament run ended against eventual champions UNLV in the Final Four...K.A went #2 in the 91 draft to the NJ Nets and made the allstar team in 94

    I never get tired of watching K.A. destroy Hurley, especially that move oh my, he did him dirty and if you look in Hurley face he didn't want no more... K.A my favorite point guard hands down!!!

    I still think Stephon Marbury was the best point guard from NYC. Put em all on the court in their prime and he could do things the others couldnt do like drop a 50 on Kobe and Shaq

    • @jamaalhorton2343

      Stephen May Marbury was bigger Stronger, faster, more athletic probably a better shooter!

    • @cowboyluke1706
      @cowboyluke1706 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mark Jackson was also bigger etc but Anderson had a court vision that the others did not. He was the best passer I've seen and his speed was beyond Marbury , Jackson and the rest. The best ball handler, left them standing still.or running in circles looking silly.

    • @cv1368

      Cowboy Luke Kenny was smoother best handle best passer tho is Omar cook

    • @missayawk
      @missayawk 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pearl was the most exciting.Marbury the most complete, because he could shoot, handle, penetrate,leap and pass.I watched him in H.S and he shot 30 footers with ease, no strain.But NOBODY broke ankles like Pearl.Anybody who can bring a great defender like Gene Smith to his knees ( I was a HUGE Georgetown fan) is a BAD BOY.

    • @missayawk
      @missayawk 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cv1368 I am telling you....Omar Cook is THE. 2nd BEST passer I've EVER seen behind JKidd.Yes better than Magic, White Chocolate, Kenny Anderson etc.Its politics why he didn't make it at the next level.That scowl he had when ppl would miss lay ups or fumble his passes didn't help.His cousin ( who worked with me) told me his dream school was UNC.He didn't get the score the 1st time he took the SAT's.UNC got nervous he wasn't gonna get the score and signed some kid named Adam Boone.When he did get the score, UNC had no scholarships left, so he signed with St.Johns, thought Darius Miles (" Knucklehead") was gonna play with him, but Miles never played college ball.Didnt take St.Johns to the tourney and I think THAT, plus scouts thinking he had a bad attitude hurt him.Went overseas and had a Nice career.Ive watched him in H.S dribble out of triple teams, throw 3/4 length bounce passes catching receivers in stride.JKidd is the ONLY one I've seen who could do that.Two of my biggest regrets is not seeing him and Lenny Cooke not make the league ( full time).Dynamic players if you never saw them.

    He was a beast at Georgia Tech. Slightly disappointing as a pro though, I thought he was going to be the next Nate Archibald and didn't quite live up to that standard.

    • @missayawk

      @@cv1368 Holy Trinity 2.To this day Omar Cook is my 2nd favorite passer behind JKidd.This kid had vision.I used to work with cousin.Know 'Dre's father Leon, and spoke to Dre a few times.Solid PG I just think he was overlooked because of his height ( 5'10 on a good day).Taliek just never got much better, probably would've been better at a mid major.

      @@cv1368 I'm the age range of Jet, Pearl and Action so I saw them in college was in H.S the same time they were but never went to their games.Bronx had their own battles.Pearl is arguably the most exciting player in Big East history( Ewing the most feared and my fave).I know A.I played in the Big East, but Pearl used to shred defenses with that low dribble and swag.Seen him break Gene Smith( probably the best defensive guard in Big East history) to his knees.They used to call Pearl " Pac Man " in H.S cause he used to eat up defenses.
