One of the best knives world wide, probably the best military knife. I have 3 MC and 2 c M1, but the M1-SLG is my favorite knife. Great review💯 , thanks a lot.
Your channel and videos are like TRC quality, I really like these reviews! Now I really want this knife so badly, but maybe the green version. I own TRC Apocalypse and K-1s and I really love these knives, only downside what I can think of is the price :D Thank you for all of your effort!
Thank you, Elmotus! I really appreciate your kind, inspiring words! The green version of the MIlle Cuori looks really nice too, I agree. I need to get my hands on a K-1S and This is freedom myself. Long overdue on both those models tbh.
@@PinkG10 My pleasure :) I kinda promised myself, that Apocalypse and K-1s is all I want... But now I'm gonna get this Mille Cuori and after that I need Mini Tanto Apocalyptic, Equilibrium and of course Classic Freedom. :D I really hope that some day TRC will make TR-15 Bushcraft knife again. I just spotted this Audacious Concept Tactical Scandi Mod. 1 knife, It would be nice too.
@@Robinson.69 I agree with you! I currently also have Mille Cuori, This is Freedom, South Pole, Mini Tanto, Classic Freedom FFG and Speed Demon... Things kinda escalated :D I kinda miss Classic Freedom with original blade grind, but I'm not sure if I need it. Only Mini Wharncliffe is sure purchase if it comes available some day, also kydex sheath for my Freedoms would be a great addition.
Thank you, Nate! I'll try to upload as many videos as I possibly can. Most of the time, I only upload small "over view" videos of certain models, but it's better than nothing. I wish to make more detailed video-reviews like this one, but it takes a lot of time and effort. But I'll do my best to make more quality content for all of you!
Amazing rewiew, it's a good knife, but it's not my favourite trc, because it's too tactical. Regarding the name, mille cuori is not french, it's italian, it means "a thousand hearts" you read as you write, like all Italian words, just put the accent well.. Refers to the famous expedition of the thousand by Giuseppe Garibaldi, which led to the unification of the kingdom of Italy in 1860. thousand hearts refers precisely to the thousand fighters who participated in this legendary feat lead by Garibaldi.
Thank you very much, both for your kind words and your input in regards of the meaning of "Mille Cuori". I realized it was Italian shortly after I published the video, and I also remembered reading about the story behind the name, but it must have slipped my mind when I made the actual recordings. Kind of strange, but it is what it is. I guess I thought it looked a bit french, and I could probably edit some text into the video, to correct myself. Oh, and I do agree that this is indeed a purpose built knife, with tactical focus, which might make it less versatile than others by TRC. Still, I do enjoy using it a lot and it can perform quite well in a wide variety of tasks. Once again, thank you for taking the time to comment and clarify on both the langugage and the actual meaning behind it!
Which TRC knife is your favorite to use? The South Pole as a hunting-camping knife,This is Freedom as a fishing knife, and the Mille Cuori as a Combat-general utility knife. These 3 looks like their best models, which one you like more? Thanks in advance
@@greekveteran2715 I would mention the K1-s also! a 10cm blade ist more than useful in everyday tasks, believe me. My first TRC is the "this is freedom", because i am a fisher and food prepping is for me in the first place.
Thank you Fredrik. Have been pondering this design for quite some time. Was worried about the performance of the V4E in the conditions where I live but some maintenance should take care of that. Great review 👍
Thank you, Leo! I felt a little bit unsure about the Mille Cuori before I decided to go for it. I didn't get parts of the design at first and I also didn't have any experience with Vanadis 4E. Now I get the design, but you kind of need to have the knife in hand to fully understand and appreciate it. I also trust the steel now, I'll admit that did some reading up on it before the knife arrived. I'm not sure how the steel will handle salt water etc. but the DLC coating should ofc provide some extra protetcion from corrosion.
@@PinkG10 indeed! i also have all 3 of the ones you reviewed and im still unsure between the apocalypse and the mille couri which one i like more hehe.
@@Robinson.69 Both amazing. Southpole is the best all around knife. mille couri is a bit more tactical but both are just amazing. not too thick. Both are superb options.
I "only" have three knives made by TRC, but they are all PERFECT in every single aspect. I can not say the same thing about my knives from Bark River, that they're perfect in EVERY aspect, however I own A TON of knives made by BRK - some are 100% flawless, others with minor, minor flaws (which will not cause any problem whatsoever). What I especially like about Bark River though, is the almost endless options to customize the knife in regards of material, requesting different mods to the blade and/or handle etc. I also love the wide variety of models and steels used. Nothing really compares to that. Not that I know of, at least. TRC is going the opposite way, offering a few different selected, but also PERFECTED, models. I do not for the life of me think that Andrius is capable of making a knife I would not like or enjoy using. That's quite an achievement, imo!
Pink G10, I have the same experience with Br knives. I own about 20 Br knives and almost every model from TRC. But the last time in general im a little disappointed by Br. I also like the thought from TRC, Blades of Honour Tales of men. Im a real outdoor knive user (collector). Kind regards from the Netherlands.
Interesting video, however I was left wondering how easy was it to sharpen especially in the field and would it strike sparks from a ferro rod with the spine?
Hi. I have 4 trc knives apocalipse, south pole, this is freedom, and mini. Was thinking of selling apocalipse and buy mille cuori. Do you think should i get this one insted of apocalipse?
Very easy to sharpen, imo. I'd say that the Bravo 1 LT is the better slicer of the two, especially my Bravo 1 LT's that I've put on the strop a little. ;) Still, as you can see in this video, the MIlle Cuori will cut and slice just fine too.
If I could own only one of the two, it would be the South Pole. In my humble opinon, the South Pole is pretty much the perfect all around-knife. Def. a must-have knife from TRC.
I could have done that, but this was not a batoning test. This was a chopping test, which was also meant to test the strength of the edge as well as the edge retention.
Just got the mille & I am far from impressed with the fit & finish. Scales are not lined up properly at the pommel & the guard area. Over €400 I expected much better.
I'm very surprised and sorry to hear that.
