It is rain season and the Ridgeline is experiencing the Baja terrain. The weekend took the Ridgeline in another adventure, some say it´s not a real truck, but it can take you where some real trucks can go :) so anyways, yes I got stuck twice, the first time had to much air in the tires, 32psi and that combined with the quick sand the Ridgeline sunk the front passenger tire and the rear passenger tire, I took the recovery boards out and let some air out of the tires to 22psi then pulled the VSA fuse out, and got out. The second time was a little deeper and the rear of the Ridgeline was resting on the sand, the front was not bad but still the suspension arms where resting on the sand, I mentioned before about letting air out and the VSA fuse, with a little patience got out again. Both times had to do a little back and forth movement and trying to turn the tires, I used the VTM lock but not all the time. The last part of the video with the music I could of gonne faster but I had my family with me and didn´t want to wake up my baby daughter :)

Awesome video ...And yes I have been impressed by the off-road capability of my 2011 Ridgeline so much that I also bought the 2014 ... May not be a real truck but it's a real cool machine on the road and off ... I Really like your recovery boards you can also use towels tied around the tires to get extra traction if you have a star configuration rim or open enough I got out of a creek bed that way once...I was buried up to both axles and all four tires spinning. Tied three towels on and hit the VTM 4 lock of course it only works in second gear but I drove right out with no slippage at all.
I really like the versatility of the Ridgeline, might not be a rock crawler but it can do most of the things other stock trucks do :)
Awesome terrain! Great job on the self recoveries! I wish it was possible to drive my Pilot on this with you.
Disculpa unas preguntas cuantas veces le cambiaron la banda del tiempo gracias
Looks like fun! Makes me happy I still have my 08, good clear video
thank you :)
I have 2006 Honda Ridgeline and I went through mud in 2WD and it didn’t get stuck
The system is a 4wd, so it will activate the rear wheels if it needs more traction. The VTM-4 system will monitor the wheels and send power to the tires as needed.
bajaste libras de presión a los neumáticos antes de meterte ahí ? debes de decir. cuantas. libras tienes y a cuanto vas a bajar
Did u take air out of the tires? I got a 2007 ridgeline with over 300,000 miles and it still runs strong! Love the 4wd system on it!
Yes, i deflated at around 24psi, i have gotten stuck three or four times and those are the only times i have deflated the tires, usually i run 29-30psi when going offroad.
Do you still have your 07 ? Is it running strong still ?
430000 on my o8 love it
Man your Ridgeline looks cool what size tires you have on it ??!!!! I just bought a 2012 Ridgeline yesterday and looking to do some upgrades like that
Hi, thank you. I put on 265/70R17, they rub a little when i deflate to 29psi, but nothing bad. Mine is also a 2012.
@@EscuderiaBalmaceda man that’s bad ass yours is the sport though way better I’m guessing idk what mine is I think frl not sure
Here in Mexico in 2012 was sold as the RTL Sport, don't really know if there are any differences.
We have that in Canada too, and mechanically it’s the same but it has the nicer grill and lights, and the same 18” rims (when stock) as the touring model.
Man I’m so impressed with your videos, you have a lot of confidence driving the trails/ rivers. I guess you can walk out if you get stuck? You never see any other trucks around
@@mjhoover thank you :) mine came with the nicer 18" rims but decided to sell them and get the 17" rims instead for offroad purposes. If i get stuck and can´t get out, its a long walk home :) luckly i have been able to get out of bad situations, sometimes there is no cel reception and sometimes there is, so what i do is tell my wife where i´m going just in case don´t make it back home by certain time so they can go and help me. I do have a kenwood radio on the RL but sometimes the mountains don´t let the signal go thru.
good video, what year is your truck???
Thank you, 2012 RTL
Thanks for making the video. Good Honda! Since you off road yours, do you have any issues with the Ridgeline? I'm thinking about buying one too.
No big issues, just a few times that i have get stuck but able to get unstuck, sometimes it comes down to know when to use the VTM-4 lock, all the time i go offroading i also turn off the VSA.
@@EscuderiaBalmaceda you should give it more time for the system to work cause as soon as it slipped you quit and it never had a chance to shift the power around
I have the 2nd Gen Ridgeline. I think the 1st Gen looks the best. Does the 1st Gen have the drive modes like snow, sand, and mud?
It doesn't have a dedicated button for the different drive modes like the 2nd Gen, in my case is has been a learning curve using different combinations of the VSA, gears, VTM-4 lock, overall i think its a good offroad vehicle, just not for rock crawling :)
where did you get the boards?
I got them on Amazon, you will find different brands.
Did you add a lift to your ridgeline and what size tire and wheel combo do you have on it?
yes a 2" lift kit from Traxda
Escudería Balmaceda did u have to cut out the splash guards
@@charlottemaureen59 Hi, no cutting, they fit perfectly in the bed trunk.
@@charlottemaureen59 sorry i don't know why i thought you were asking about the recovery boards, but no i did not have to cut the splash guards 😀
It was stuck but it got out without the rear diff slipping
what is the tire size? it looks bigger then the stock
Hi, yes its bigger, i´m using 265/70R17
@@EscuderiaBalmaceda i really like the looks with that size of tire, did you have to do ant body work to fit that or was the 2" lift enough?
@@infopetrahomes2076 I only installed the lift kit and even put on the front mud flaps, it does rub a little bit but maybe without the mud flaps would not rub, did not have to do any cutting or grinding of the body.
@@EscuderiaBalmaceda sorry i see that someone has asked that and you replied that you didn't have to do any body work. another question does the tire rub at all and do have wheel spacers?
@@infopetrahomes2076 no wheel spacers, and rubs just a bit.
17:45 the truck was actually stuck though
The truck can’t be stuck bro that truck is strong enough where it can get out with the black tracks
The truck is capable enough, but all trucks can get stuck, no matter how strong they are.
