What a nicely kept house - the walls have no oil stains, there is no dirt or grime anywhere in the kitchen, no dirt around the electric switches and even the planters are so clean from the outside. This is so unlike a Chennai home. Looks like a museum....incredible. Not to miss the immense collection of deepams.

We in Maharashtra have similar festival on the sravani amavasya called deep amavasya in which we clean and do puja of all the lamps in our home as the sravan masa is the start of vrat-vaikalya and festivals and in the kartik masa we have dev deepawazhi which is just a month after deepawazhi we go to temples and light lamps there and some in house too.
