- In this video I play RE: Pik 3 Delxue. A Pikmin 3 mod that changes everything about the base game. It has new levels, treasure and most important of all purple pikmin.

The white candypop buds that kill pikmin that are thrown into them is an unused enemy in the base game.
The difference between them and the regular white candypop buds is the ends of the petals being black in this instance and the lack of an opening animation.

Yeah I definitely get the feeling they were unused for a reason lol. Its a gimmick that you fall for like once and then never again

Those Candypop buds that were killing your pikmin were a scrapped enemy from the base version of pikmin 3 that he brought back, btw
They are called Namapongashi
The way the lore has been reworked to go along with the story, changing out the juice for fuel and the fruits for treasures, like the ship has been changed to a Sparklium engine, reaally nice touch.

Those candypop buds are actually cut content, they're "fake" candypop buds that just eat pikmin
i think the "dandori dandori, i love dandori" message was written by leafling olimar specifically, and he just doesn't remember it due to... being a leafling. especially since we know this mod takes place after pik4. you can see in the bottom, though its signed "captain olimar", the note reads "No longer-", no longer captain olimar. dandori forever. dandori dandori dandori
I love it when modders make their own cut scenes with their very limited animation skills. The dev for Pikmin 251 did their intro scene in gmod and it's always so funny.
I believe Pikmin 4 occurs before Pikmin 3 since the former alludes to the famine that kicks off the events of the latter game, and the reason for why the onions have a different appearance in both games is because they take place in different areas of the planet which given the small size of the characters and pikmin, equates to like a small block on a street per game
Doesn’t Pikmin 4 take place in an alternate timeline?
I think the three people you save from Louie in the post-game were on the same misssion as the Pikmin 3 crew, so something pikmin 3-adjacent could've happened.

Anyways, could you do a challenge run where you try to get as little pikmin types as possible in pikmin RE (from what I can tell you would only need wings and reds)

Man, I hope someone does something similar with Olimar's Tale in Pikmin 4. It'd be so great to have the Pikmin 1 maps, modified for Moss, and a proper ship part system.
I believe that white candypop bud that killed your ikmin is intended to be a fake candypop bud, a mimic.

8:06 A lot of Louie’s actions due come down to his very one track mind, not really understanding things or just assuming the worst when he doesn’t understand something, him being a very anti social kid alongside being raised only by his Nana didn’t help matters.

Find it cool that the musics are not the regular Pikmin 3 area themes, even if it's a bit strange to hear Zelda's music in Pikmin

There’s so much potential for this to be better if only Pikmin 3 wasn’t so linear and tight knit. The modding community should really focus on reverse engineering the game, then the possibilities could be limitless like they are with Pikmin 2.
The most popular theory is that Pikmin 3 takes place after Pikmin 4, so Olimar referencing Pikmin 4 makes sense

Says that it "changes everything" though most of it is just the normal game reskinned
you have no clue how demanding Pikmin 3 is when it comes to modding it. I want to change it to the best of my ability but I have to keep the story in a certain way other wise the story breaks completely, Even if some levels got reskinned it’s still a lot of work, not to mention i plan on replacing 2 of the maps with a completely new geometry modeled from scratch which would take a LOT of time. 🍃😇
