Thanks for sharing! A trick I learned for removing parts of back layers showing through top layers is to copy the top layer, put the copy behind the original layer, and turn the brightness on the copy all the way up to make it white. It should prevent lower layers showing through. You can also do what you’re doing here but use the selection tool to select what you want to erase and then click on clear in the layer to erase it quickly.
