Congrats on the gem NSX. I think you should keep it OEM+. They aren't "fast" by modern standards but when this first came out it smoked the super cars of the time. You've gotta love the Ayrton Senna connection too. Thanks for sharing, Josh!
Check your trans vin to see if it falls under the range for snap ring failure. If so, keep an eye out. Even if it has low miles, do the water pump/timing belt/ LMA upgrade if it hasn't. The C30 isn't cheap. That engine howls once you put a full exhaust on it and definitely helps pep it up. The oem headers are super restrictive. Also, the abs is prone to failing. amazing car once you get it set up. Check out T3Tec and R.F. Yamamoto.
I think the NSX was definitely the move, and I think you should keep it. See what you can do about grabbing the power steering pump, rack, and other components off a newer NSX and throwing them on yours. I really love the look of the NSX, especially if done right, and you always have great taste/style so I really want to see your take on how the NSX should look. Love the videos!
Congrats for the NSX - that’s my dream car too. I’ll own one someday. Also, thanks for all the inspiration - I’ll finally be back in Japan next weekend after 8 years. Your videos have truly inspired me to pursue my own Japan dreams once again.
Honestly since the 1st time @illiminate blessed us as viewers with Josh's presence and he also started a channel I've been hooked to this. Congrats on the NSX man !!!🔥🔥🔥
Congrats! I have the same one here in Hawaii along with the NSX Type S. You can upgrade the steering rack. Go to T3 in Saitama and Marc at Mitamotorsports for OEM parts.
I wanted to thank you for the content you put out. I've had a rough month, and yesterday I put my dog Luna down. She was everything to me, and the only thing keeping my mind off it is watching. So thanks bro...Keep it up.
Nsx is dope! I say wheels and coilovers first. Exhaust, intake, front lip, and nardi for sure for phase 1. Enjoy it for a bit then phase 2 full kit, crazier wheels and either itb's or supercharge!!! There has to be a way to add power steering, maybe that too so you enjoy the car more
Brother if i had the opportunity to move out my close ones and actual friends to Japan i would. Its a very humbled enviroment and looks friendly, welcoming. Maybe one day i will get to visit with my family and enjoy the scenery but also the people around that i might get to meet. Like you said "everyoned needs to eat" and thats how i like to see my circle, not just them but also everyone else thats making the effort of being succesful.
it was nice to hear the old intro song again. congrats on the nsx, please keep that thing forever!! it’s a one of a kind car. there will never be another like it despite its flaws.
Congratulations on your NSX purchase my boy!!! I say keep it , at least lower it, kit it, and put some dope sick wheels. Upgraded exhaust system. That's if you don't plan on modding it. ITB's would be sick though. Also, as far as the 180 goes, you should definitely keep it silver, I love the way it looks in that color, maybe spray some pearl. The FD content was 🔥🔥🔥. Awesome video. Ready for more 🤙🤙🤙
At 26:23 It should be easy getting to the Alternator if it goes out without lifting the car to get to it unlike most other vehicles so that’s a plus 💪🏻
Bro, you’re gonna have so much fun with the NSX. Talk about unique upon unique. Car built out of aluminum, with interchangeable body panels (including rear quarters) , so you can switch up the look with no hassle. A couple upgrades to bring it into the 21st century, such as the brakes and you’ll be mint! Like biggie said “We did it!” Congrats bro! 🤙🏻✨
Sweet NSX! Always Been A Dream Car Of Mine!!! Probably never own one but I’ll keep grinding for the Dream!!! 180s look Awesome!!! Can’t wait to see the other one painted and finished!!
A widebody would look insane on it. I might be projecting a little bc my dream car is a 1992 Rocket Bunny NSX R but whatever. Ur vids have been making my day for a long time
@E_ought. I have a 91 NSX and although there is no "Power Steering" it shouldn't be too heavy to steer. I love my NSX and don't have the issues I see you're having. As far the the AC, my AC blows cold but not strong enough even with it fully charged. Not sure if it was a failure in design but my other friend with NSX have the same issue. As far as speed it's not "Fast" no days because things have changed since the 90's. I would say the selling point if the fun factor of driving, still fast enough to get a speeding ticket, and 110% sexy to drive and modify; definitely a keeper. As I've commented on one of you're past videos of the NSX jacking points, they suck and look cheap but that's how Honda made them so don't be surprised by the cheaply welded jacking point under the car. Congrats on your purchase.
good thing about the nsx is, you can mod the outside and suspension and relatively keep the motor stock. these cars are not meant to be fast but more so a good balanced car. The mileage is so low but people have been doing k swaps on the higher mileage ones. Congrats on the car
I love the factory setting. I also have 1991 model. You can help the heavy steering with bigger wheels and lower profile tires. The stiffer side wall helps to turn the wheel easier. I have on mine the oem 2002 wheels.
Cool over a for stance, bigger wheels and tires, turbo kit, and nos. Keep all the stock parts so you can put it back to stock after you are bored with it. This will maintain it's value. This will become very valuable down the line.
I think if the nsx is the model you want and later down the road you won't regret not waiting for the dream dream car then I say build it and enjoy it. Love the videos Josh, it's great following a journey similar to one I can see myself puruing. All love!
honestly with no powersteering its fine for stuff like spirited driving on the twisties. parking is a tough but you'll get used to it and it's worth it (i own a mk1 mr2 no powersteering and midengine too)
The sexiest car ever built! My dream car, but my garage isn’t long enough to fit inside. Looking forward to your build. I say make it a monster and put some red seats inside and paint it metallic green.
Kinda stupid how some people “think” you are taking advantage… lowkey if you been watching Josh and kota for a min, when kota was in cali Josh scratched his back like kota is doin for him in Japan! Anything good comin your way Josh and kota your homies deserve!! Keep up the hard workin brradder 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
I think an EPS mod is in order to make it bearable for street use but an awesome buy Josh! An NSX, R34 and a Supra is my dream garage. Loving the content all the way from 🇵🇭
That NSX looks dope and so does the 180. I'm sure you'll figure out the steering to where it works for you. If you don't like it someone will buy it from you and you got a chance to own an NSX. 🔥🔥🔥
Keep it OEM+, since it’s a “base model” I feel like you should do it up as much as possible cosmetically, then when you stumble upon an R or close to it, trade/cop!!
To be honest mate that nsx will be awesome when it’s got wheels, coilovers, etc and maybe a power steering rack in you need, Personally I quite like no power steering but that’s just my opinion, in fact one of my next jobs is to swap out a power steering rack for a manual rack in a mk2 golf gti
Congratulations it's very nice you know you can take the engine out and swap some parts around brackets a different area and put power steering in it that's what I would do I have done that so many times cars
Congrats on the gem NSX. I think you should keep it OEM+. They aren't "fast" by modern standards but when this first came out it smoked the super cars of the time. You've gotta love the Ayrton Senna connection too. Thanks for sharing, Josh!
They are great for track

wow car looks great
it’s nice as is. I would even keep stock wheels maybe some springs to lower it to feel smoother steering
Congrats on the NSX! I have a black 92' 5 spd. Early 5spd NSX's had manual steering. I think only the early automatics had power steering.
Dude congrats! Like so many this is my ultimate dream car as well. A reliable door wedge with pop ups!
