Moraine Lake Canada You won’t regret the minor challenge to get there. Let me give you hints

You rarely see a lake that turquoise color. Moraine Lake in Banff Park changes color with the time, with clouds, and the angle that you see it. But how to get there?
It's actually close to the famous Lake Louise, which can be reached all year round. Besides intrepid hikers, getting to Moraine Lake in the winter is difficult because the road is closed.
Just recently, the road was opened (June through October) for this year. But do your homework because the shuttles, private tours and buses can be booked quickly. A handy website for more details is: www.banfflakelouise.com/exper...
So my first hint is to watch the time of year when it is open and second, prepare ahead for transportation since no private cars can access the road.
Last, I recommend the rockpile trail that takes you higher up. The view up there is grand and the blue color of the lake is unreal. The '10 peaks' in the background is very inspiring.
There is a safe climb up that trail, you don't have to climb through the jagged boulders. It's a little walk up but so worth the effort. I'm no hiker, so if I can do it, so can most of you. Recommended.
