    Dude.. THANK YOU! Was lookin for spacers in between cases and jugs..

    I'm so glad you done this to show what crank is in the engine

      Its certainly nice to be able to check it so easily without tearing the whole engine down to the crankshaft

    very cool. super effective. super simple. Thank you for the idea. I always used solder, but i like your version or twist much better!!!

      Yeah we keep the Pencils around also because you can use the tips to take o-rings and such out without damaging any surfaces

    You can probaly use a depth Mic also but very good trck to know without taking the motor apart

    Can’t you tell with the spacer on the bottom of the cylinder? Once you put a 4mm you need a spacer and most likely a cool head unless the top cover is worked on

    • @RedoBansheeParts
      @RedoBansheeParts  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Some engines may still have the spacer but most builds now use a Coolhead with 4mil Domes

    Just took my banshee motor apart and found the rod side bearing burnt and missing.
    It’s a four mill according to seller. Never really used it so now I’m looking to get it fixed.
    Don’t know what I should go with. I’m happy with a banshees performance but since it already had a 4mill and ported cylinders I was thinking of building back the same thing.

      If you ever need to put in a crank it’s not much more to go to 4mil than stock. Crank is only like $200.00 more. Well spent money for the extra performance.

    my dads banshee is a 420cc and it has been completely done by trinity racing with stage 4 trininy race pipes, idk what it would be

      Chances are that it would have a longer than stock stroke crank. Possibly 4 mill or bigger in order to get that size of displacement

    So just to clarify the 4mil is ONLY the stroke of the piston...in this case what/which crank would I need to get this desired stroke? Does anything else need to be done to be a 4mil like bigger bore and piston, Upgraded head etc? I'm looking to build a 4mil from my stock motor and I'm trying to understand what's needed to be done to achieve that...any help would be appreciated thanks guys

      There is alot of ways that you can build a 4 mill but from my understanding 4 mill means the piston is 4 millimeters about the top of the cylinder when at top dead center which means that you will need 90 degree cut dome to run a 4mill

    • @diegofavela8621
      @diegofavela8621 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is also a company called Drive line performance that sells premium parts to do a 4 mill.With a 4 mill I think your crank needs to have a longer rod to have the bigger throw.The rod needs the be 115 instead of 110

    • @dawnhorn3949
      @dawnhorn3949 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The stroke is the measurement of where the piston travels from the very bottom of its revolution (bottom dead center) to its very top revolution (top dead center). The stroke length is built into the crankshaft and not the piston or the bore. There are many ways to build a banshee engine and that will just be up to you on what you want. You can build a a 4 mill stroke with bone stock top end or go with big cylinders and pistons or any combination in between. If you do decide to buy a longer stroke crank you will have to modify the cylinders and head to accommodate.

      They press the crank apart and get an offset rod to crank pin and position the red pen so the offset is near the outer edge of the crank and then once it altogether trude and balanced you welded pin in there. There's another way you can do it with using a different rod but the best way is to take the crank apart and put a new crank rod pin in there and the further out you go means you have to start cutting open the bottom of your crank case. I know a guy that has a 22 mil stroker and his crank bottom is cut Way open and they had to epoxy New pieces of aluminum on the bottom of the crank case..

      Yes you can. If you had to move anything it might be the fuel tank.

    What about a 4 mil stock rod length?

    • @RedoBansheeParts
      @RedoBansheeParts  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Since you are measuring the stroke itself the rods length wont matter.

    Hey i was wondering if anyone can tell me if i can put a stroker crank in my banshee without clearancing the case, or will only a stock crank fit in the case?

    • @RedoBansheeParts
      @RedoBansheeParts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can do a 4mil Crank without any trenching of the cases. Keep in mind you will need a spacer or to mill the head still though. If you have more questions feel free to give us a call at 541-419-6054 or email at info@redo-parts.com

    How many cc is a 4 mil or 7 mil adding?

    • @cheezeballer9
      @cheezeballer9 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      0 that’s a bore kit that adds cc

    • @anthonyk6265
      @anthonyk6265 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cheezeballer9 you're wrong this stroke add to the cubic centimeters there'll be more volume if the crank is moving lower in the cylinder meaning more cubic centimeters

    Just use the stick out on the end of the caliper.

      You could but if you use a pencil it wont potentially damage your piston.

    If I have a 2 piece cool head.Do I have to add the spacer on cool head too?

    • @RedoBansheeParts
      @RedoBansheeParts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are rereferring to the spacer at the bottom of the cylinders the answer is no. You don't need to add a spacer on the top and bottom.

    What happens if it's a 120 mil Stroker and the number two pencil you're using drops in there and get stuck?

    • @RedoBansheeParts
      @RedoBansheeParts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are going to have to pull the head to recover it.

    Does this also work if you have a 4mil stroker with the spacer plate?

    • @bmjca123
      @bmjca123 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This will work any motor with a crank to get an idea. Your only going to do this on something Your about to buy r just got to inform you on crank type. What you need to know about spacer plate is the gasket is a spacer as well they come in diff thickness. You need to perform a squish test to tell how far away your piston is from hitting the head. For example mine was .52mm so to bring it closer for more compression I changed base gasket from .32 to a .12 so my squish is .32. I think the safe area is .25-.45 but I would double check what is good for your build depending on gas type. In the video he’s almost a whole mm to high so I think he’s needs smaller gaskets to bring stroke closer to head....definitely something to consider you want to get most power out of your combustion you can

    Bring a magic marker also

    • @RedoBansheeParts
      @RedoBansheeParts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quick easy way to check stroke is to remove a spark plug and insert a new pencil into the plug hole. Turn engine until the pencil goes all the way down. Mark the pencil, rotate engine 180 degrees and mark the pencil. Measure the distance between the marks. 54mm is stock. 58mm is 4mil stroker.

  • @bmjca123
    @bmjca123 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    It could be a little more than 4 mill if your spacer is too big(gasket)..... what is your squish? Could be losing power and need a smaller gasket my friend......I got mine set at .32 on stock stroker. My first squish was .55 I think save area was .25-.45 so I’m pretty happy with it being .32 away from the head

    It's in Athena motor so it doesn't really matter if it's a stroker or not because it's junk no matter what
