To think the GOP will do the right thing is laughable. It will be the most surprising thing to happen if they did.
If they don't I suspect it'll cost them the House and next round of elections in general.

Ordinarily, I would have thought Santos' expulsion was a foregone conclusion. But today, I fear the Republican Party has already sunk too low to grow a conscience and once again expediency may take precedence over conscience.

Abolish the Electoral College, Make DC and Puerto Rico states (or base senate membership on state population), and redraw state district maps drawn by non partisan people.

How do they control our world without being found? We could have progressed to a higher level of thought and social/economic/political level without them but we didn't and now we wonder why?
A sociopath is a chameleon even within the family and social structure. Love is a game. Trust is a manipulation. Harmony becomes that which the sociopath uses to adhere themselves to a similar population and extend their reach to true humanity.
It is our innate goodness and willingness to do well and be loved that is used against US. A sociopath knows the words, but is unable to hum the tune.
Human traits are complex. Our professions have been inundated with sociopaths to such a degree that we have scientists disclaiming “climate change”, doctors prescribing drugs that kill, lawyers/judges defending racism, and politicians declaring their divisive hate, fear, greed, and bigotry. Not to mention religionists who rape our babies!
Our society has been truly embedded with that which will destroy us and we stand in awe of this because no amount of common sense or logic can produce its opposite.
This is the WONDER of our age and this will be that which will either save US or extinguish our world…
There is nothing benevolent about republicans, corporatists, or religionists. US should never surrender our liberties and freedoms to republicans, the supreme clown court, corporations, or religionists who don’t give a shit about US.

His federal trial, assuming it doesn't get pushed back is scheduled for September 9, 2024. It's unconscionable that our federal judicial system is so broken that it takes that long for a trial to happen. An un-expelled Santos and the rest of the House Republicans can do a lot of damage between now and that date. Unfortunately, it continues to become clear that the American justice system is not built to stand against this level of corruption. It was good while it lasted.
