If you study the iron audio feature on the 400 you will learn to listen for the grunt on either side of your target, swing wider over your target, and learn to pinpoint more accurately would also help. Keep up the good videos.
Nice comparison, but with the nutrition thing, the Garrett gave a jumpy signal, which should indicate trash, while the Deus had a more stable signal. Jumpy signals on the Garrett (more than 4/5 numbers, has always revealed trash on my hunting places. At times, it is very useful to swing a fixed gb detector.
It's November 2020 and i am interested in buying a metal detector bur all the reviews for the Garret 400i are 4 years old it looked as if Garret sent out a load of free detectors for people to review on their channels it is rare for utubers to admit they are using a free to them detector and so it's difficult to get an unbiased view

It cost $380 however that pointer retails for $150 alone and you can find it on sale for around $127. My point is this? YOU ARE COMPARING ONE THAT COSTS MORE THEN TWICE WHAT THE GARRETT DOES. ????? I looked up the cheapest DEUS and it was $800. If you spend twice as much or more on onw, you should get a bit better detector. I don't find your comparison that helpful as the GARRETT is more affordable for us new detectors. I am sorry if this seems not so nice but I would love to see you compare comparable costing ones??? That would really help those of us wanting to upgrade someday???
On some of the shallow find, I will use my pinpointer to narrow my area to be cut. Sometimes, it is just a three-inch diameter plug is all you need to cut.
Next time try finding the target first with the Deus and then see if the Garrett can pick it up. You may also find deeper targets than you did in this video.

Are you in Norfolk UK? 400i is a greatt coinshooter, in most situations it will find what the Deus does, but if ground is really trashy/iron infested then the Deus prob will win, if you do clean ground then the Garrett will do the job. Other machines to consider would be the ne Minelab Equinox £879 or a Golden Mask 1+ UK Edtion £249....

heloo off course a wonderfull test but it is apples with oranges deus always the better one ,the deus is perfect detector and is not even close to the garret . but anyway thank you
i own a 400i and now i have a XP deus since a few month. I think the 400 technology is more up to date, the reactivity is lightning fast... the Deus technology is a few year old, Garrett 400i have new IC (chips) from 2016. I really love the 400i, i find it more easy to distinct the sound id ... but i will tell you about it after i make my summer on the deus! Garrett is hard on trashy site.. i expect Deus to be better I almost pass on XP deus, i think their screen could be more graphical with OLED ... its getting old (same critic for garrett ) .. its like a car, a mercedes 2010 vs a VW jetta tdi 2017
