    How old is the previous kettle of the same design that you are replacing it with, you didn't say despite saying how reliable it has been?

      I think 1st kettle was about 3-4 years old used on average about 18 -20 times a day, element still working, not leaking, lid still working, it was calcium build up on the kettle filter that was reducing the steam releasing from the kettle which was making it spit, owing to the amount we used the kettle I just replaced it, changing the filter would have gave my old kettle a new lease of life but I retired it to the garage

    Please let me know inside the kettle is plastic or metal.

      Hi the Kettle is metal (brushed silver) and plastic on the outside (where its white and grey) inside is plastic walled, with a flat metal heating plate at the bottom you don't get external hot sides

    Hi, do you experienced of water leaking? As I see some comments on Amazon, but I do like this design, not sure should I buy it?

      Depends if you like floods

      I haven't had water leaking on either of my kettles, i did notice if you have calcium build up on the scale filter in the neck that this will restrict the steam which can lead to the kettle spitting some water as the steam is forced through the restricted filter, if the filter is cleaned then the kettle works fine again

      Hi the Kettle is plastic walled, with a flat metal heating plate at the bottom, but it is of high quality, if you were wondering if the boiled water had a taste of plastic as found in cheaper kettles then it dose not.

    Been given this kettle from friend. Its switches off before 100degrees . Also keep warm just switches off. Can this be fixed?

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Is the switch selectable for the different temperatures it’s probably either this or the temp sensor, it could be fixed but is it economical to do the repair try checking the switch to se. If it’s stuck might have a bit of scale build up

      @@RichManPoorTech descaled, then I held switch down to maintain boil. Kettle now heats to 100degrees and each temperature. But doesn't maintain temperature on keep warm. I consider that a win. Thank you

      @RichManPoorTech  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@didic6470 the keep warm function periodically turns on and off the kettle, it’s not something that I use owing to the cost associated with boiling a kettle and not using it, but check if it’s not just resting for water temperature to drop before heating again
