These monuments of the Industrial Revolution were never meant to be seen by the public, but the pride that was taken by the Victorians is impressive. You can almost smell this video Steve. Well filmed and narrated throughout, with impressive aerial shots. I’ll have to get myself up there one day. 👍🏻👍🏻
Andy cheers again it's appreciated, I did enjoy the day at the pumping station, and as you say it's the smell once you walk inside, being involved with mechanical engineering it was great, don't think they have anymore open days this year but I'm sure it will open next year. 👍👍
Cheers Jim when you think about it the way they used to get there water this was ground breaking stuff, clean water to the masses, it certainly is a sight to see and the engineering smell when you walk in, to a former mechanical engineer it was heaven, thanks as always Jim, hope you get some good weather soon 👍🙏.
Awesome video, Steve. Beautiful drone shots, but I also love the views from the inside with all the machinery at work. I enjoyed your explanations, too. Great video, mate. 🤘👍
Many thanks Michael for watching, its a fascinating place to visit when the engines are working, the staff are so friendly and will explain the workings with enthusiasm, thanks again 👍👍

The industrial revolution in the UK, did produce some magnificent feats of engineering. Great that this is still in very good working order. Can't quite recall off the top of my head who invented the Lancashire boiler ......William something or other 😂. Great footage both inside and out 👍. My father loved making things....he was a mechanical engineer. I take more after him, than my brother does.....he can't even put a shelf up 🤣. I do remember getting told off as a child, when my mother found the matchbox containing my watch that I'd taken apart because I wanted to see how it worked.
Hi Annie thank you for your great comments, my father was an engineer he served his time and Doxford ship yard in Sunderland, so I think I inherited some of his skills, I also liked to strip things down when I was very young I took the clock on the fireplace to pieces there was springs and cogs on the floor, my mother and father were not very happy 😁, Still it set me up for my career as a vehicle technician, thanks again for watching.👍👍
Great aerial footage combined with commentary tour of the museum 👌👍👏👏
Evening Chiltern thanks for dropping by it's appreciated.👍👍
