i noticed this also, the bend reliefs are huge as well. if the hoppers to be welded someone will have to redraw the flat to work better, or adjust the model.
Thank you for tutorial. But is not possible to cut and bend it. It will not fix to Fiber laser table, also it is hard to find sheet metal with that size. Also you can't bend it on press brake machine. I don't mean this video. I mean this type of procedure.
if develop such a hopper.. u can cut in laser, while bending u can't bend last one bending .. hopper can develop with two separate sheets not in one sheet.. if u can develop this hopper in real-time . jst develop one for us and make a video of it
It can only be processed in two parts, after then welding is required. If we want spot welding which will look like there is no joint present then an additional flange will be required.

Good tutorial but in practice we cannot perform bending operation on this sheet metal parts. it should be made in two parts followed by welding or any other joining technique.

I did a lot with bending allowance, deduction, radius and etc. Forget them. First you need to know parameters of your bench brake machine. I mean die and punch. There must be a table somewhere on your press brake machine. HINT: Bend something, for example bend 90degree 1.0mm metal on your machine. Then check outside bend radius of metal with radius gauge tool. For example if outside radius is 3 for 1.0mm metal this mean your inner radius is 2, outer is 3.
you've designed a part that can't be bent, the hopper must be made in 2 pieces, the bend reliefs are too big like way to big and the corners you want to make corner to corner, no real world weld corners are spaced open like that. the standards in sheet metal solid works rarely work in the real world. tweak for what's going to be done by the welders.
Dude your technique is from 2006! We don't do SheetMetal in SolidWorks like this for your exemple! Draw a Solid ans COnvert it... That's it! Way better design intent.

I did it in four parts. Mine was bigger. Material galvanized steel, assembled with pop rivet.

Trust me, You can perform all the bendings with the right tools, right oerson and proper knowledge

@@SuzukiGsxr7500 you are wrong. He left one gap left opened for the welding. Remaining three sides are easily bendable to the shown shape. .
