6:20 Did anyone else see that GRAMMAR was spelled wrong behind him? There is no "E" in GRAMMAR. And one more thing: I don't care what science tells us, or the Mythbusters, but as far as I am concerned BEN FRANKLIN FLEW THAT DAMNED KITE. That's my story and I sticking with it.
Who remembers when the food pyramid was based on a 2,500 calorie diet per day. Then it dropped to 2,000 calories per day. Now if I'm not mistaken, it's based more on a 1,200 or 1,500 calorie per day.
They first introduced the food pyramid when I went to HS. Before that, they had us stay "healthy" they told us about the basic 4 food groups. Later they went to 7 food groups. Thank you Slim Goodbody. LOL
#21 The hair follicle is actually irritated by shaving, and due to that the first fraction of a millimeter _will_ be slightly thicker as it grows back. But the rest of the shaft will be back to normal in no time.
Learning style. IDK that I can agree with this entirely. I believe that the more senses are involved the deeper into memory something is, but everyone is different. Myself for instance. I can read instructions 'til the cows come home & not learn a thing. Especially with these modern Chinese instructions! 🙄 It'd be the same if you TOLD me how to do something, or even performed the task in front of me! But (see, I used a "conjunction function" here! 😁), if I read a lesson, hear it in lecture, then DO the task, I usually got it, because I used 3 senses to imbed it into memory.
9:54 Still an image about 142 times more terrifying than anything on any of these nonstop "paranormal/ghost" channels. I live in NYC, so ive never seen one of these, but goddamn if every damn muscle in my body doesnt tense up and i sometimes get a slight chill whenever i see real time footage of one of these terrifying acts of nature I mean, my GOD.... just LOOK at that. My heart goes out to anyone who has had their lives torn asunder by that... If you fear it like i do, change the playback speed to the slowest, 0.25x and take a gander... (oh and uh, mute the volume, because speech slowed down this much is almost as terrifying as the sight which you see at that minute mark 😅)
I’m willing to bet that many of these “debunked lies” will be in a List 25 video in 50-100 years titled “25 Things That We Used to Believe Were Lies, But Are Actually True”.
These are pretty lame arguments. But I suppose I've heard something similar to a few of them. In my school days the only example expounded here was a food pyramid of some sort, which we no doubt ignored in any case.
Franklin never "discovered" electricity. It was always there. Much like Columbus hit on a land with quite a few inhabitants. Symantics, maybe but it's still true.
Another fascinating fact about the north star, (named Polaris) if you are south of the equator it won't help you find north. You'd have to find a constellation known as the southern cross. But be careful, there's an imposter cross next to it. Only one will point south. " The crux, or true cross has two very bright pointer stars named alpha centuari and beta centuari that creates the center line of the cross. This line points to the celestial south pole. Face your back to it and you are facing north.
id imagine really breads and pasta and other materials of that sort should be on the top part of the pyramid and meat should be kknocked down a level placing with vewggies.
Usually I'm looking at Mike's cool shirts during the videos. Today I'm low-key jealous of the awesome scarf! I'm not even a Hufflepuff, but the scarf is adorable.
Talking of school. I’m South African. I’m talking about the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. We were never taught about Nelson Mandela. Maybe because of the apartheid regime.
6:47 that’s so funny, I still do that. I try to do my best to not start a sentence with “but” or “and”. Leaves me starting a lot of sentences with “also…”
The video I watched before this he said that there is no gravity I know because I had a comment and say that scientists believe it's dark matter holding the universe together
