Great video! Merry Christmas to all! Very interesting to see the Old Guard not only march out in Quick time but using the South Gate as opposed to the Main Gate. The marches played were, 1) 0:14-Wassail (Yuletide March) 2) 3:19-Rising of the Lark
Thank you for this post. I remember Christmas mornings in the late 1950s, going to watch my late, dear old Dad, BSM Douglas Drake BEM. Coldstream band seemed always to be on Christmas Day guards! But best of all were the carol services in Trafalgar Square on Christmas Eve. The beautiful Norwegian tree and an immense audience gathered in the square. One year it snowed. I remember watching the flakes drifting down against the dark grey of Nelsons column whilst I looked up at the figure of Nelson in the dark London sky. Then proudly walking home wearing his white mittens holding his hand on the one side and dear mum's on the other. I still hear the crunching of his boots on the pavement. I was the proudest little boy in London. Thank you for sparking those memories.💂
if I am not mistaken the Military of the UK has something like 35,000 MUSICIANS in all branches. More than any military in the world and they are GREAT! Thank You to the men and women who attend to the King and serve the people of the UK with loyalty and devotion. Pax+

Not D.M. Chambers, this chap is Welsh Guards, sorry don't know his name.
Sen.D.M. Chambers is Irish Guards.
Maybe those little girls are good musicians?
Is it bloody PC that makes them have little girls in the Guards
Equality.
It's a bit off-putting. They look like elves dressed as soldiers. 🤔
