Nah I think all versions of pinnacle bosses should get at least 3 portals but resets the fight. Doing arbiter +4 and losing all that time or currency because of one mistake is demotivating and makes people wanna quit
There is no reason to limit you to any number of portals when the boss resets if you die. If someone needs to spend 2 hours learning the boss, let him. He already spent the key. There doesn't need to be any more punishment than all the time you spend wiping on the boss.
especially with those wraith-like mobs were they become invisible and also has a charge attack that will throw some ice pillars that will freeze you. Some of them are already doing the charge and you cannot see them because of those blind spot doorways/buildings.
there's no way the current league mechanic boss invitation token system remains. it's literally the same problem from PoE1's invitation system when ubers were on the atlas, combined with the "WTB MF-culler" catastrophe replaced with "WTB Boss Carry". the price of invitations is set by people who are running max-difficulty encounters. everyone else running them below that is at best "investing" but for the bulk of the playerbase it's probably going in, dying to the boss they don't know the mechanics of and can't practice, wasting the invite; so they buy a carry. have the boss invitations carry the difficulty level implicitly on the item. have those higher difficultly levels drop because you're specced into it on the atlas like the current difficulty system. give 6 portals (or more) for difficultly 1, less as you go up. bam. all the problems solved at once except maybe boss carries for the last 2 points or so.
@@kyledrake7313 You act like there aren't builds that are just oneshotting any boss currently in the game. Hmmm sure wonder which build a carry would use hmmm, real headscratcher buddy.
wtf you can do the boss with shity build why would you want a carry ? and buy you can do them and the price of carry is not sett by the seller set by pepole that pay them what they want
Just make the lowest tier unlimited until success, so casuals (like myself) can hit our heads against the wall and have a good time. If a person dies more than 6 times it’s already bad ROI in terms of drops per hour, so it hardly affects the economy, you could even reduce dropdates by X% for 60 minutes for each try, so people can choose to try for drops or just for the sake of the satisfaction of killing the boss
yeahh... on the bosses topic I finally farmed up 300 splinters for breach boss, I even watched a few videos before hand to be ready but still got 1 shot by a big hand coming down it felt that it came from no where and now im back to square one. That kinda killed my desire to play the game for a while.
In reference to the 1-portal issue: if they dont want to give us infinite tries (which i think they shouldnt do), i think on bosses, you should get the other 5 portals as practice for next time. No loot, no completion, just information. You farmed/bought the key so you at least get some practice. This also has the useful side effect that the game enforces a mental processing break. If you want to learn something you actively need to take breaks from practicing so ur brain can process what you did. I think this maintains their philosohy of "either you win or you lose on the first try" but also gives people 6 times the ability to learn the super hard fight so that they can pull that off without having to spoil the discovery process.
What I think is the best solution is that if you die the boss resets completely so you need to go again from the start. On the base difficulty you get all of your portals, and the number of attempts you get decreases incrementally as you get atlas points to increase the difficulty of the fight. This way, when you first start attempting the fight, you get the opportunity to learn its base mechanics. However, once you get to the highest difficulties that the really powerful loot is gated behind the game then expects you to kill the boss in a single attempt. This feels like a natural difficulty progression to me that just makes sense.
@@c-tothefourth4879 Elden ring is a completely different game though, and there's not really an economy tied to any of the souls games, it's not a good idea to say that just because something works in it, it will work for PoE.
@@somedude8728won’t impact the economy whatsoever. Realistically someone isn’t going to be able to kill the boss with infinite tries if they can’t do it in 6. But they get more time to learn the fight. Especially if this only applies to the lowest level of the fight. The good loot comes at higher difficulties.
I see what you're going for here, but I think the one life system in this game is fundamentally flawed. All they should do is give us all portal attempts, but a death resets the boss back to full hp. Simple as that. I believe it's the simplest solution that would fix the most amount of frustrations with the game. I would even apply this to maps
Idk how they made so many of the same mistakes theyve already made and fixed in poe 1 again in poe 2. Especially when to my knowledge its basically the same team.
Literally every single ARPG seems to do this. It's maddening. Every sequel is just, "let's do all the bad things the previous one did and then wonder why players are upset." Edit: Full disclosure, I can't remember if Torchlight 2 suffered from this on release, it was a long time ago. So "every" might not be as literal as I originally stated.
lol I just saw you made the same comment...100% the case...no bench, no other meta crafting to eat currency. The inflation is WILD...its cause there is too much divs in the economy...no where to put them
@@SkorpioVenom I'd argue that divines have no use. Without the meta crafting costs, they're literally a last step orb. It's just that the economy is basing itself off of divines are rare rather than divines are useful. In POE1 Exalts and Divines share the same rarity but they're worth wildly different amounts. There's also the fact that people just aren't really crafting in trade league.
Not to mention YOU CANT EVEN FUCKING SEEEEEEEE THEEEEEEEM it’s so fucking annoying. There’s no justification imo for on death effects to EVER be a one shot especially when they are badly telegraphed and maps are one attempt only. Absolutely ridiculous and that’s even WITH the fact that I love this game and I’m having a lot of fun.
this - my biggest complaint playing a Monk. I cannot STAND dying to on-death effects and just ground effects in general. It's beyond frustrating and makes me dislike mapping, especially when you lose all your modifiers/mechanics and your map, not to mention the EXP/loot. It's extremely punishing.
i just hope they nerf it so that they could not outright kill you, maybe just do percentage damage to your HP or have you character yell the fck out loudly that there is an on death effect ready to explode or just completely remove them.
yeah same, im just sad and disappointed that i dont have other high quality games to play. hopefully poe2 becomes more fun and polished to play and we get poe1 leagues more frequently.
don't get too upset at the current state of the game folks, in less than a month they'll be releasing 2 new classes, new weapons, items and skills, along with a bunch of nerfs and fixes, maybe even some new ascendencies.
@@mray417 even then, what stops them from making a complete reset because of ingame mechanics changing too much with the introduction of certain classes xD like srsly
@@felixmustermann790well nothing really. It's early access, and there is a warning top left of the main log in screen. The game can change drastically by full release, if they wanted to
If the guy who gigablasts and people point at as an economy ruiner says rarity is broken and should be toned down it should probably be fucking removed. That just means its even more of a problem than people think
One of my biggest gripes is that the game is losing the more methodical combat the further I go. It's becoming like every ARPG that's just a vomit of visual FX and mindlessly hitting a rotation.
the topic at 20:00 minute mark about its one shot or be one shot resonates with me. I'm a d2/pd2 andy and one thing i hate about poe1/2 is you can be blasting the map and not see your health even dip at all then one rare mob fight you get 100-0 without time to react. i'd rather see more chip damage from regular mobs and have rares not absolutey 1 shot you. doesnt feel like defence at that point.
Lol people like this are absolutely mindboggling. Like yea rarity does suck for sure. But "i cant believe GGG did this" obviously dont know shit about game development. Shit like this is hard to determine without extremeky large numbers of feedback.
youve been brainwashed by the rarity hater propaganda. the economy will be exactly the same if they remove rarity. poe 1 is proof. quant doesnt exist and rarity is only on uniques AND it doesnt affect currency and you people complain about being pushed out of the economy in that game too.
The real problem is that only certain builds have the suffix space to rarity stack, thus gating "magic find" to very specific op meta builds killing overall build diversity and absolutely dumpstering the market.
Bro theres no way Ziz is saying that he expected a different more slower paced game. He and every other content creator was constantly whining about not being able to see end game when they were teasing campaign stuff over the last 2 years. He and every other content creator were PUBLICALLY worried that the endgame would be like the slow pace that they were teasing. And NOW we get early access and they are surprised that the game is fast and the end game is more like poe 1? Miss me with that bs. Every single content creator wanted a faster paced game in the end game and now that we have early access and it is more fast paced and closer to poe 1 they are complaining? Naw.
Yeah if GGG keeps down this path of listening to streamers rather than the wider player base they will loose all the new people. They have a chance to make this game mainstream. Turning it into POE1 is not the way.
@@albeon81 Its funny because PoE1 Vets are really the only people enjoying the game right now. Due to the cringe "Crafting" and extremely unfriendly progression, most casual players or new players are hitting a wall that requires insane luck or something that the MAJORITY of new players dont want to have to feel like they have to do.. Trade. To overcome that wall. IF they even have that currency, since they literally advertised the game as "hey craft your own gear, we want you to slam exalts, etc etc". Not to mention exalts in the campaign are SUPER rare. Ive run the full campaign on approaching 5 characters now. Every single campaign run, act 1 has netted me 0-1 Exalts. Act 1 and Act 2 Combined has netted me 2-3 Exalts. GGG literally said "You will see multiple Exalts in Act 1"... So much for that. FURTHERMORE, the instant a new or casual players sees that "crafting" is literally just gambling or roughly aimed gambling, thats an immediate turnoff. As a vet of about 9 years its a turnoff for me too, especially cause i wanted poe2 to be different. But i mostly say this because i have 2 friends who were new to poe/arpgs who have already quit because crafting isnt crafting. its gambling. Im aware its early access and theyll probably hopefully maybe fix these issues, but its important to make sure we let GGG know.
@@TheCosmicAstro- brother, if I'm GGG and all I hear for 2 entire years is "the game is too slow" and "we are worried about the end game being this slow", what do you think they are going to do with their development time??? Make the game faster. Suddenly all of the content creators "change their minds". Id be livid if I were Jonathan of GGG hearing all these content creators give feedback that they were expecting something different after hearing all their feedback from early playtests that the game was too hard and too slow. You cant have it both ways
I think they should tie portal number to the + difficulty nodes for the content that you get points for beating them. Less portals for harder difficulties, with zero for the hardest.
they had the opportunity to remove this and they didn't, the game would be much better with a balanced drop and no rarity, because with rarity they have to balance with it in mind
Whenever people talk about the difficulty, About the loot, About everything, You all forget that GGG have a new target audience, And they are called The casual gamer, Ya'll seem to forget that POE seasons are 3 months long, Now, GGG specifically said they are trying to reach the casual audience, Hense the simplicity changes, Therefore content needs to be easy enough, And they need the loot, to correspond with a CASUALS playing time, Which is around 10-15 hours (top end) per week, In a 3 month season, This equates to around 120-150 hours, GGG have to make ALL content accesible within 120-150 Hours, And as it stands, No casual player can get anywhere near t15s or pinnacle bosses within this time frame, Therefore, Do not be surprised if loot gets buffed and content gets nerfed even more, You are all thinking about it the wrong way and are going to get horribly let down, What GGG will say to all of you is, Head over to POE1.
200 hours right now and I'm pretty sure that if the acquisition of equipment will be like now then I won't be playing in the future, 200 hours was possible because I'm on vacation, February will be different for sure. I hope you are right. I really want to continue playing, but the game is too time-dependent, so it is impossible to play it casually and see all the content in a 3-month league as you mention... Additionally, I would really like the trade to not be so necessary.
They should make pinnacle boss fights untradeable, that would solve the issue of feeling bad trying to do the fight instead of just selling it for guaranteed currency. Then they can balance the fights, frequency of fights, and drops around that.
For bosses, what they could add, is that higher dificulty you lose a portal per level. And you can do the same with Boss Maps. I dont think bosses should be "5 minutes fights" as you said, but they should have the initial resistance they have in PoE1 so you HAVE to do some mecanics and not just insta kill or freeze-kill.
the main problem ... and this is a problem with both rarity and trade ... its that as long as they exist the game has to be made worse as a response to ballance them existing
I really wish they would make rarity not affect currency because that would help out us lower level players who aren't up there farming with 400% magic find
I think the only reason I find exalts is because a do run about 90 rarity. I play SSF so I hope they leave rarity where it is. I don’t care about buying gear in a market.
@@albeon81I've done a mix of 0 rarity, 50% and 100% and my god does 100% matter for regals at least from how the game treats me. I went from starved for regals to 40+ buffer just by swapping on a new ring and running a cycle of maps.
Rarity has diminishing returns. Just get 50-100% increased Rarity and you will be swimming in loot and currency. Gold amulet alone can get you to 50% increased Rarity for just a few Exalts. Then you just look for good gear and consider the "increased Rarity" mod an icing on the cake. 400% Rarity probably only effectively doubles your drops, while requiring a hundred times the investment.
@@albeon81 If they removed rarity from gear they would need to put baseline rarity into the game. this would ONLY benefit you. Itd probably be something like 100% baseline rarity added to the game. You now get a bit better than that 90 rarity + youre not wasting affix slots on your gear that are just making you objectively weaker.
I'm probably going to be alone on this view, but if they're going for this whole darksouls idea, then give us unlimited tries. You're putting in mechanics for bosses that straight up one shot you, and monsters that oneshot you. I'm fine with that. Maps and bosses resetting on death, also fine with that. But then you get to try again in the campaign. Do that for maps also. Make the game deadlier, but also let us try again, for as many times as we need to clear said content. I don't get any enjoyment out of farming for hours on end, and then dying to some random shit, that i can't even tell what it was, because we still don't have a death log somehow, and then wasting all those hours of farming the boss fragments or the higher tier waystones. Either stick to the darksouls way of doing it, or drop the idea.
10:58 I have ptsd from on death effects. I just roll away every unique I kill. And sometimes I can’t tell it’s dead or not so roll away before it’s dead.
remove rarity, the higher the tier map, or endgame content, higher drop chance, even playing field for everyone. Also, towers should always have a boss, I run t1s just to clear them
I really hope they lower damage across the board. Act 1 felt so great, the boss fights actually took remembering their moves and some skill. After that it all just devolves into one hit, either you or them.
Not at all, I'm doing T15 maps and outside of super telegraphed boss attacks I don't get 1 shot at all. Also I'm not completely res capped, currently 74/75/68/70 on resistances. 800 life and 4.2k ES. Not HC viable coz I die from time to time, but it's always something avoidable or being swarmed.
I don't know what kind of zero-defense squishy build you are playing, but I was playing merc and didn't cap my resistances until AFTER I was already in the endgame. I have only been one-shot by big boss attacks and got burst a few times due to some unpredictable things, but often times due to my own poor positioning and too aggressive players. Most of my deaths in the campaign were to bosses that I was learning.
@@sujimayne Got a warrior with maxed out resistances and high block chance or near to (maps 14) and a sorceress with 4k shield (~maps 5). In both cases I go around the map one shotting everything until all of a sudden I'm dead due to something I didn't notice. This gameplay is not as much fun as it could be, and I would much rather the damage is reduced so that the map takes 10-20% longer to complete but you don't encounter those ridiculous deaths. Bosses are trivial, my warrior literally one shots everything even without a top tier weapon and I honestly don't want that. Act 1 was so cool, I had to dodge and look out for attacks and play smart. Now I don't even get to see the enemy's animations before they are dead. Count Geonor took a healthy amount of time to defeat, and maybe it was slightly on the long side but THAT is the balance they should aim for for every boss. Shorter if you spec into damage, longer if you spec into defense, but all should be around that.
Sadly 5k life is almost impossible to get unless heavy str stack(over 800s or gemling). 80% armor also is kinda bad. Not enough dr in game currently, both edr and pdr for life builds to work.
5k life does nothing you still get one shot even as warrior against physical damage because bosses do so much physical damage you cant avoid it because armour does nothing
@@zeebpc Armor is not meant to protect you from super-heavy slams. Armor is meant to protect you from light and medium hits. Dodge roll is a defense layer.
@@sujimayne guess it sucks to suck as a melee user because you need to balance attacking with blocking or moving and risk getting tapped mid way through a slow attack while ranged builds chuck many projectiles, minions, and dots while being able to move and keep out of range of attacks easier. theres no reason armor cant soak more damage against "big" hits.
20:27 fundamental problem is the game is balanced around dodge roll. That’s not a good idea. They seem to misunderstand the dark souls mechanic - dodge rolling, tanking and NOT getting one shot is baked into the boss game.
The game immediately felt boring to me after I saw others with high rarity dropping tons of currency in a single map. I just quit as I didn't want to re-farm a set of rarity-based gears. The game may still be fun, but if you want to get more high-end gears you are literally wasting time without rarity gears.
At 14 minutes they talk about maybe giving infinite attempts for your first time trying a boss but how it might impact the economy, it would be cool or balanced if you had multiple attempts on the first run or infinite attempts and just make it so each death drops the rewards on the boss like a stacking reduction in quant or rarity. That way you can learn the fight but you do not need to be worried about how it impacts the economy by dropping high value items for players who otherwise would not have dropped those items.
Hey Ziz, absolutely love your commentary! You are one of the only few people I watch and I like your attitude of playing the game how you like it (in your case hardcore and ssf) and not what is the most mainstream or most accessible. As a partial ssf player yourself, I would want to see your reaction to "Lighty"s videos on POE 2 who is way more critical with the game. Cheers and have fun :)
As content this might be good as well as I haven't seen reactions to his really critical but well formulated opinions which I also resonated with. This was for me as I don't like to rely on other players directly as my own source of power ingame (e.g. not crafting but trading or following metbuilds instead of doing your own and figure stuff out on the go) but prefer the knowledge/understanding = power approach of poe 1, though they are relying on content creators to hand out that knowledge. Hope this intrigues you, in anycase thanks to anyone who read this :)
They could, easily got 4.3-4.4k hp on mine on 90 lvl +-, some guys playing like 6k health, the problem is 5k life wouldnt save you cuz armor sucks ass. With surrender i became almost immortal on maps when i played in trade league, but bosses can easily remove like 90% of life bar, on deaths effects insta die anyway
haven´t got a single exalt last 10 maps, i get like 2 ogment orbs, if i change gear for more rarity find i loose so much res, i wonder what i can do, start farm white tier 1 maps with low res or?
Ita by design of course. This one is more like D2 (on purpose), and MF in D2 was a whole thing. Super impactful, basically necessary to use it to farm your real build. The same here in POE2
i think portals should decrease with the map tier. its super punishing and annoying to have 1 portal while progressing but now im in T15s and my character is pretty decent so deaths happen rarely. start with 6 portals and end with 1 at T15 and 0 at T16. bosses the same thing. T1 boss should have portals and with every difficulty tier you get less ending with 1 try on the last tier
Bring back 6 portals for maps and just make using an additional portal cost gold or something if they dont want them for free. It would still cause people to care about not just running it down and needed to build defense but wouldnt feel so bad dying to a random on death effect and loosing the entire map.
Rarity on gear should absolutely be removed. I'm shocked no one realizes this is a direct cause from when they gave us resistances in that patch along with enemy nerfs. My character becomes unkillable after that. We suddenly didn't require hardly any defenses on our gear. You put on rarity and just blast away
I´ve to say ... FubGun and you are way way way beyond 95 % of the PoE Players who are not been able to get mirrors (Mirror-lile-Equipment) 3 weeks after Release (or equal to Season Start). So if he kills a pinnacle or Breach Boss in 4-5 Second, it didn´t mean ANYONE can do that. especially not with every build (!). I´ve seen his stream last evening and come on, this is Top Tier Equipment, Currency and Knowledge.
I mean poe1 kinda was as well, but at least there was strategy for what you want to gamble for and how you want to do it, but that just doesn't really exist in poe2 yet.
This is a non-issue. You can either get the rarity boost and do the same or skip it and take your chances. Its literally a choice… you can have speed on boots or increased rarity…. Your choice. You can blast to the end game and cry about not affording the gear or you can equip yourself so you too have high rarity but if having high rarity to too much of a compromise on your gear then plain and simple…. Its a Choice… you choose how you want to play. The people enjoying rarity of drops and better gold etc… made that choice. Its not an illegal build, its not an exploit from a bug that needs to be nerfed… its in the game for you to enjoy or not. YOU CHOOSE!
11:21 "you actually dont have to build defense" but people already did that in PoE1, has he not played for the last 3-4 years of poe1? because its absurdly rare to find a pure glass cannon build. the only one i could think of was the meme-y self exploder build. the one that used cast on death. and even that was only really viable for 1 season.
90% of players do not think player power is too high but ofc the 24 7 streamers will complain game is too easy and so will start the process of making poe2 unplayable for people not devoting their life to it, same as poe1
Imagine being so wrong you say game is unplayable for those that dont no life. Love it when people that dont understand the subject feel the need to voice their useless opinions
@@iFossimagine spouting a whole paragraph and not making any counter arguments just being a smug asshole. OP is correct, the game should not be balanced around streamers who play 14 hours a day. If you have an actual argument to why it should we are all waiting to hear it.
ziz i think they shouldn't nerf rarity by not effecting currency and etc and just cap it at 100 max rarity that way even if really good [which should be or else its wasted stat] it wont break the game/market too much and also it will help ssf getting more currency to gamble on gear :)
6 portals for maps and bosses? Before we do that, lets remove the fucking ruin mod, that ignores everything you worked for, everything you learned and just kicks you out of maps, trials and boss areas.
Boss portals : using the new system I think they should start with 6 portals and when you up the boss difficulty it takes away portals as well so when you have all points in its hard and you have one try
tota was so cataclysmically bad for me. I really wanted the strategy/tactics gameplay in poe, but what we got was just a different flavour of clearing a small map and waiting for your guys to kill totems. Imagine if the enemy units didnt scale above yours and it was simply army vs army, and you could only personally interact with the fight by 1v1'ing the enemy leader who would scale with rating and neither of you would be able to hit the units, but the winning leader would gain a morale boost for their army. That would be more in line with my hope for tota back then. Pure fucking cinema.
The main “issue” with tota was how pressured you were It should have been the case that full afk auto was possible, like actually auto chess. If you set up your army appropriately Kinda like how in blight you can fully afk it if you want, or you can just blast it yourself. There’s choice of strategy
fub having so much currency and says "nobody has my items" instead of literally just crafting his own mirror tier items says so much. this is why they wanted crafting to be easier for people to use.
3 weeks in and I'm no where near Res capped. Are we relying on runes to do it because the gear alone doesn't get u close. I have no clue whats good enough to throw sockets on and id hate to throw the runes i have away on bad gear. Just got to Cruel and my survival is terrible.
It’s crazy to me how big game companies often over see things that random hard core gamers are so easily able to pick up. I feel like if every game studio hired a couple of degenerate gamers they could actually direct games in a much better direction than those elected to be game director
There are multiple issues which by themself might not seem so bad, but unfortunately they compound, faster than real life inflation. Things that makes me dread playing atm: 1. Broken rarity making it compulsory. Honestly wtf are they thinking. Because of the games popularity, the amount of trade bots which inflate stuff, and certain overtuned builds makes it even worse. 2. I've been playing since start. Have yet to find one boss citadel... seriously not even 1. My char consistently clears t15+. 3. Death penalty system which is now compounded on how hard it is to sustain map and what feels like less exp in maps. I'm 91 and used to remember exp didn't suck this bad in poe1 until around 97. Poe1 has options to optimize exp gain that's not really here. Ascendancy used to be an issue as well but i got super lucky rolls which made it super easy for that run. Terrible design choice for ascending. There's just so many things that makes you really question current design choices especially since poe1 already went through the issue.
I respectfully disagree with the Sanctum trial difficulties being trivial by maxing out 75% honor resist but it seems i am in the minority of struggling through the final ascension...
you are not in the minority. Zizaran and fubgun are the 1% if not the 0.1%. They are not any metric to measure anything other than "if even they cant do it, then that means its a huge problem"

LA Archer is really really strong early but falls off imo. great leveling build tho. problem is just most other builds kinda suck, ESPECIALLY melee. Which is impressive because poe2 was supposed to have fantastic melee.. lmao

If it were up to me STR, DEX and INT would each give Life and Armor, Accuracy and Evasion and Mana and Energy Shield respectively, in flat additions. Give Attributes all the flavor they're supposed to have, do it.
Every 10 dexterity grants an additional 20 accuracy rating. Every 10 dexterity grants 2% increased evasion rating. POE1. It used to, but they had to nerf all defence there was. Apart from the dev beloved Energy Shield ofc.
I am steamrolling through cruel and honestly it's been fun. I managed to get some decent gear on my ranger but I very much feel like the risk of crafting vs the reward just isn't worth it. If I need to get magic find on my gear to make it worth that's fine but what kills it for me every time is trash modifiers / trash tiers. Why does a lv 60 item still roll lowest tier modifiers? There should be a floor on tiers.
I don't think builds that stop you from playing the game should exist. You should have to actually do mechanics. Like making a fight shorter is fine as long as the boss still has enough time to go through it's general routine.
5k life with 80% armor still gets oneshot by any endboss AUTOATTACK because armor is even more dogshit in PoE2 than it was in PoE1 ... despite the fact that these values arent even attainable xD
one of the things i hate the most about this map system, one of my favorite map layouts i've done so far is "Gothic city", this map only spawns around the iron citadel though so majority of players will never see it and i don't really get to run it ever. meanwhile i run into augury and seepage like 20 times a day each and hate it every time.
PoE2 needs a bit more time. Will return when they cooked a bit. Give us crafting please. Also for newer players the crafting bench is a method of fixing their gear - especially when they dont know how to trade. Also the economy would thank you a lot ggg, if you would implement a divine sink. - metacrafting for example (:
I just wish they removed the entry cost from bosses and made there loot not guranteed. Atm bosses have the same issue as PoE1, whereas unless you are lucky the cost of entry actually outweighs the value of the drops making the content DoA. All these cool pinnacle bosses and none of them worth doing. Also because of the cost of entry, people don't even want to try them. Remove the cost, balance drop rates and make boss farming a thing. So much effort put into cool pinnacle bosses just for them to be dead content.
I think we should be able to start a no-reward pinnacle boss fight that doesn't drop loot and that won't kill your character if you die to it. This way there is access to understand the boss fight, but no reward for completing it.
You know what actually pisses me off is that GGG will nerf this. And all the no lifers will be sitting on their piles of gold with inflated market prices they get to sell in while the average player will just about be getting to the point to where they can gear this way to catch up. It’s why I hate nerfs in live service games. For most people, it’s just listening to how good things used to be from TH-camrs without ever getting to that point yourself
I think having quest versions of every pinnacle boss that you can attempt over and over to learn the fight would be really nice
bro they dont even have map tab converted for tablets, you are like 2 years away from quest invites
This would make a tonne of sense
Nah I think all versions of pinnacle bosses should get at least 3 portals but resets the fight. Doing arbiter +4 and losing all that time or currency because of one mistake is demotivating and makes people wanna quit
I think bosses should just be free to run but boss loot not be guaranteed.
Right now boss farming is dead if you don’t do carries which is lame.
There is no reason to limit you to any number of portals when the boss resets if you die.
If someone needs to spend 2 hours learning the boss, let him. He already spent the key. There doesn't need to be any more punishment than all the time you spend wiping on the boss.

there's no way the current league mechanic boss invitation token system remains. it's literally the same problem from PoE1's invitation system when ubers were on the atlas, combined with the "WTB MF-culler" catastrophe replaced with "WTB Boss Carry". the price of invitations is set by people who are running max-difficulty encounters. everyone else running them below that is at best "investing" but for the bulk of the playerbase it's probably going in, dying to the boss they don't know the mechanics of and can't practice, wasting the invite; so they buy a carry.
have the boss invitations carry the difficulty level implicitly on the item. have those higher difficultly levels drop because you're specced into it on the atlas like the current difficulty system. give 6 portals (or more) for difficultly 1, less as you go up. bam. all the problems solved at once except maybe boss carries for the last 2 points or so.
So the people carrying. How did they get to that point? Just be good.

Yeah I died 8 times in a row on juiced maps to on death effects. It’s pure pain.
No harm in infinite tries. Look at Elden ring.

Rarity isn’t the primary issue. There’s no currency sinks for exalts and divines, so inflation is inevitable
The funny thing is if you wanna play slow you can, dont get move speed 🤷♂️

IF they even have that currency, since they literally advertised the game as "hey craft your own gear, we want you to slam exalts, etc etc".
Not to mention exalts in the campaign are SUPER rare. Ive run the full campaign on approaching 5 characters now. Every single campaign run, act 1 has netted me 0-1 Exalts. Act 1 and Act 2 Combined has netted me 2-3 Exalts. GGG literally said "You will see multiple Exalts in Act 1"... So much for that.

As a vet of about 9 years its a turnoff for me too, especially cause i wanted poe2 to be different. But i mostly say this because i have 2 friends who were new to poe/arpgs who have already quit because crafting isnt crafting. its gambling.

I really wish they would make rarity not affect currency because that would help out us lower level players who aren't up there farming with 400% magic find

Either stick to the darksouls way of doing it, or drop the idea.

ziz i think they shouldn't nerf rarity by not effecting currency and etc and just cap it at 100 max rarity that way even if really good [which should be or else its wasted stat] it wont break the game/market too much and also it will help ssf getting more currency to gamble on gear :)
Opt in to the difficulty
following fubguns deadeye lightning arrow guide. and im melting content now!
tota was so cataclysmically bad for me.
The main “issue” with tota was how pressured you were
It should have been the case that full afk auto was possible, like actually auto chess. If you set up your army appropriately
Kinda like how in blight you can fully afk it if you want, or you can just blast it yourself. There’s choice of strategy
finally a real farmer on. old poe players and their hate of rarity is wild
fub having so much currency and says "nobody has my items" instead of literally just crafting his own mirror tier items says so much. this is why they wanted crafting to be easier for people to use.
when was this recorded???
3 weeks in and I'm no where near Res capped.
Are we relying on runes to do it because the gear alone doesn't get u close.
I have no clue whats good enough to throw sockets on and id hate to throw the runes i have away on bad gear.
Just got to Cruel and my survival is terrible.
Why would you worry about gear you use in cruel 😂
tower maps should be at least visually different - like ice biome ones
It’s crazy to me how big game companies often over see things that random hard core gamers are so easily able to pick up. I feel like if every game studio hired a couple of degenerate gamers they could actually direct games in a much better direction than those elected to be game director
6:45 I suspect endgame was not tested much. Hence the community are discovering the flaws. Which is fine. That’s the point of a beta.
There are multiple issues which by themself might not seem so bad, but unfortunately they compound, faster than real life inflation. Things that makes me dread playing atm:
I’d say get honor cap and + merchant choices, heavy prio on merchants during the run then it’s a lot easier
@@TheCosmicAstro- they are also both playing THE most broken classes right now ... anyone playing ES stacking caster of any flavor or LA archer have NO idea how bad things are for the "plebs" trying to make non broken ones at least work ...
@@Asghaad yeah lol.
though i dont think ES stacking caster or LA are really broken tbh.
the big issue with ES is grim overflow to double your ES is a bit nutty, so logically theyll nerf that to be like a flat amount of overflow or something, cause without grim, ES isnt really busted since youre sacrificing any other defense.
LA Archer is really really strong early but falls off imo. great leveling build tho.
problem is just most other builds kinda suck, ESPECIALLY melee.
Which is impressive because poe2 was supposed to have fantastic melee.. lmao
fubgun abusing rarity, making the whole market going crazy. The amount of divinies this guy puts out decent items for lmao.. actually insane
For everyone complaining about no div sinks in game, youtube poe2 mirror bow and see how the guy used over 300 divs for a end game bow, and its not even full t1 either
@17:14 Sad, I heard this and thought it was in my map.
watching that spirit amulet reforge into spirit spirit +2 spells.....FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
PoE 2 play more like a tech demo for skill effects rework and full campaign overhaul then its own game.
Player agency and quality of life legitimately went backward like 5-6 years between PoE 1 versus PoE 2.
It gets like 500% better every update, and we've had 3 updates and then Christmas break.
Like, chill.
i cant believe under every video there are people crying that the early access game plays like an early access game.... seriously, they said they needed the feedback, of course they didnt release the most perfect game of all times with this level of complexity. stop crying or stop playing and wait for release
its barebones compared to poe1 because poe1 has 10 years baked in. they will add stuff
@@Powernudel any product, no matter how it is labelled, WILL be judged as a final product, when you sell it. The only way to not be judged as the final product, will be to do limited ea, where you curate who gets in, and not openly sell and distribute the game like it's a finished game
@@Knights_of_the_Nine why are you so defensive of GGG? Who are you to tone police other players?
I bet Fub loved getting interrupted constantly while talking answering a question that ziz doesnt even listen to the answer
Is there no item comparison button on PC? I see him going back and forth looking at stats. On Ps5 I push R3 and it will compare the item to my equipped item.
There is.
Oh my God, a system that has diminishing returns who would’ve thought Ziz like every other video game? Who is this dude?
0:49 summarizes softcore trade mindset 😂
5k life with 80% armor still gets oneshot by any endboss AUTOATTACK because armor is even more dogshit in PoE2 than it was in PoE1 ... despite the fact that these values arent even attainable xD
Armor isnt dogshit in poe1 tho
@@iFossit’s still weak
@@c-tothefourth4879 in poe1 its not. Its really good for mapping, if paired with phys red and taken as ele
@@iFoss Thats not just armor. Thats phys reduction and phys taken as elemental PLUS armor.
Not just armor.
@@TheCosmicAstro- phys to elemental shuffling was basically killed in the last league though, all thats left are few very specific uniques
it just should not exist
but it has to effect currency because currency isnt just currency its an item for crafting
I want to play ssf but not solo lol
@@droid5785 kinda what i did ... but probably gonna go into full ssf
Sirgog did a video about rarity and how it limits build diversity. The best explanation about why the whole concept bad for the game IMO.
Do you feel the bad maps would be feel better if they added checkpoints?
one of the things i hate the most about this map system, one of my favorite map layouts i've done so far is "Gothic city", this map only spawns around the iron citadel though so majority of players will never see it and i don't really get to run it ever. meanwhile i run into augury and seepage like 20 times a day each and hate it every time.
PoE2 needs a bit more time. Will return when they cooked a bit. Give us crafting please. Also for newer players the crafting bench is a method of fixing their gear - especially when they dont know how to trade. Also the economy would thank you a lot ggg, if you would implement a divine sink. - metacrafting for example (:
so you could say if you clearned over this % of the map you loose 2 portals but you get to keep 1 or something
